BSEd- Physical Science Department City College of Calapan PhySci Department Ranking Guidelines 1. PhySci Department Ranking is a project initiated by the Department to enhance students self- worth, their confidence as learners, and motivation of learning by recognizing their excellence in academic performance. 2. Candidates for Top Achievers from each curriculum level must have earned at least 18 units during the semester, ACADEMIC scholar with NO grade from each subject LOWER THAN 80 and with no failed or dropped subjects. 3. To determine the Top Achievers, the students shall be ranked by their academic performance. The grades will be computed by multiplying the grade percentage on a subject and its number of units. Product will then be added divided by the sum of units of all subject. In example, Subject Grade Unit Total Grade (Grade*Unit) English 1 90 3 270 Fil 1 90 3 270 MathEd1 95 3 285 NatSci 1 98 3 294 Hum 1 89 3 267 SocSci 1 88 3 264 Euth 1 87 3 261 Major 1 91 4 364 P.E. 1 90 2 180 NSTP 89 3 267 TOTAL: 30 2722 GWA: 2722/30 90.73% 4. The final rating shall be computed up to two decimal places. In case of tie, students shall be both declared in the same honor ranking. 5. Students must submit photocopy of their grades during the semester. Grades on summer classes shall be included on computation with the grades on the previous semester (2 nd semester) 6. The students hereby give the right on the Department to use the information of their grades for the best interest among its members. Top ten students permit the display/ post of their ranking and GWA on, and limited only on , Department bulletin board.

7. In case of protest, it shall be filed by complainants within five working days from the final announcement and shall

be settled by the Committee three days from the filing of protest.

8. Previous issuance, policies and guidelines inconsistent with this are hereby rescinded and/ or repealed.
