think planet. live local. thegreenrock.ca is a registered non-profit that provides information and
inspiration to answer challenges facing our planet, our communities, and our lives. We envision
NL as a leader in sustainable living.
2016 was a big year for thegreenrock.ca with many milestones. The Guide to the Good
startup social enterprise was a major focus, and the website going live in November 2016
was a headline event. The Guide to the Good social enterprise will be the engine that brings
sustainability to thegreenrock.ca. It is an online and outreach platform that makes it easy for
people to choose green, social and local in the Northeast Avalon.
thegreenrock.ca built it because buying local brings economic, social, ethical and envi-
ronmental benefits to our communities.
Since it went live, it has had a great reception and a
growing following. Individuals and companies continue to
like, watch and read Guide to the Good’s content!
