Guide to setting up ZOOM for LIVE Video Conference
This guide shows how we can use ZOOM to conduct LIVE video conferencing. This will be useful for HBL
lessons, staff or dept meeting etc…
Step Action/Buttons Method
1 Go to the Zoom website.

2 Sign up free account only.
Sign in.
3 Here’s what you will see
once you have logged in.
Click on the dropdown menu
“HOST A MEETING”
Select “With Video On”

4 You will be prompt to install
“Zoom…exe” Please ignore
the installation.
*Note – You cannot install
into your SSOE laptop
Click to on “Zoom” to return
to main page and repeat 3
5 You will be redirected to this
page.
Select “Click here”
6 We will run the application
from using browser.
Select “Start from your
browser”
*Note – You can only use the
browser version

7 You will be prompt to allow
the following plugin.
1. Microphone
2. Camera
Please select “allow”
8 You are almost there!
Select “Computer Audio”
& “Join Audio by Computer”

9 Once you are ready
Select “Start Video”
10 Copy the invitation link.
1) Click “Invite”
2) Click “Copy invitation”
11 Paste the copy invitation
into Word document OR
You can also copy into SLS
directly for students to take
note. (See points 12
onwards).

12 In SLS, creating new
assignment
Click the “+” button.
13 Click on “Text/media”.
14 “Right-click” and paste the
link into the box using
“Paste as plain text”
Click “Add”.
15 The link will be shown on the
SLS lesson.
