• The journal Impact Factor is the average number of times from the journal published in the past two years have been cited in the JCR year.

• The Impact Factor is calculated by dividing the number of citations in the JCR year by the total number of articles published in the two previous years.

Citations to 2016+2017 Articles Articles published in 2016+2017


• Calculations by quarterly ( 25 % ) according to the ranking IF in the same field. Q1 denotes the top 25% of the IF distribution Q2 for middle-high position (between top 50% and top

25%) Q3 middle-low position (top 75% to top 50%) Q4 the lowest position (bottom 25% of the IF distribution)

2. Click Ezaccess


3. Click LOG IN


4. Key in your UPM-ID

5. Key in your password

6. Click LOGIN


7. Click letter ‘J’ to search JCR online database


8. Click JCR from journal title list


9. Key in specific journal name e.g. PLOS ONE

10. Click search icon
