7/12/16 In order to comply with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Department must provide sealed As–Built Construction Plans within six (6) months of structure completion, certifying that the major drainage structure(s) and associated roadway embankment that are located within the 100-year floodplain were built as shown in the construction plans, both horizontally and vertically.
