OPPORTUNITIES We are looking for volunteers to serve:
RECEPTIONISTS If you are interested in assisting by greeting individuals that come into the Church office, answering the phone, & performing general office duties, we need you! Help is needed on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons, and any time on Friday. A typical shift is four hours, but any amount of service would be appreciated! Contact Amanda Faircloth in the office: [email protected] NURSERY VOLUNTEERS Volunteers are needed to assist in the nursery on Sunday mornings from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Please contact Jeff Davis: (863)646-3121 or [email protected] CHILDREN’S MINISTRY VOLUNTEER Our elementary group, Pathfinders, (Weds. night from 6:30-7:30pm) needs a volunteer! Would you be able and willing to help volunteer in there at least one Wednesday in the next month and a half? If you are interested in helping, please contact Jeff Davis at [email protected] or call the Church office at (863)646-3121. A background check will be required. INTERNS PCH is offering unpaid practicums and internships to college students for Children’s Ministry and Video Ministry. Contact Jeff Davis at [email protected].

FLOWERS: If you would wish to celebrate, honor or provide flowers in memory of a loved one or special occasion, sign up on the flower chart on the bulletin board and complete the order form in the bulletin. The flowers are $25.00 and yours to take home after the 10:30 a.m. service.

CONGRATULATIONS: On behalf of the congregation, the PCH staff would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Andy & Sheryl Norman upon the birth of their daughter, Charlotte ―Charley‖ Wilkes Norman. Charley was born on June 29th at 1:16am (7lbs. 11 oz.). Pastor Shaun paid a visit to the Norman family in the hospital & both mother & baby are doing well.
HOLIDAY PRESCHOOL HOURS: Please note that the Preschool will be closed the week of July 4th—8th.
NURSERY VOLUNTEER: Today’s nursery assistant is Helen Vogt. Next week, July 10th, will be Laura Lindeman.

RECONNECTING TO GOD Lynn Schindler Holy One of Israel, we will never be able to fully name or describe You. You are truly holy, set apart for goodness and light, justice and love. You have called us to be community, sharing Your holiness, reflecting Your presence in our world. Yet we forget how You long to make Yourself known, preferring instead the ordinariness of our lives. Some of us are too busy with our own plans to see Your work. Some of us are afraid of the changes You might make in our lives. Some of us are so wounded that we cannot sense anything but our own pain. Underneath all our defenses, O Holy One, we still long to see Your face. The Lord’s Supper is the sign and seal of eating and drinking in communion with the crucified and risen Lord. The invitation to the Lord’s Supper is extended to all who have been baptized, remembering that access to the Table is not a right conferred upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love. Even one who doubts or whose trust is wavering may come to the Table in order to be assured of God’s love and grace in Christ Jesus.

Did you miss the first two sessions? That is okay; each
session is structured as stand-alone topics, so there is
still time to join in and grow from this series! Please
join Pastor Shaun and Dan B. on July 10th, in the youth
Lifeline Room, during the Sunday School hour, (9:00am
- 10:00am) for an exciting and energizing segment on
the important principal of mentorship for the growth of
PCH. Coffee/Juice & Breakfast pastries will be
available.
Pastor’s Summer Series
The Lifeline summer theme has been “Transformers”
and no high school youth will want to miss out on this
fun opportunity to gather with friends for the third
movie in the Transformers series! On July 13th,
Lifeline will have a Transformer 3 Movie Night at the
Cobb Theater. While students will meet at the movie
theater, they should sign up with Jeff Davis in advance.
Youth are responsible for purchasing their own tickets
& concessions.
Lifeline Transformers 3 Movie Night
Precious Children in the Highlands Preschool is offering
a day and enrichment camp for boys and girls, ages 6-
12, this summer! Camp is now underway & runs
through August 19th, 7:00am - 6:00pm. Each week all
campers enjoy art projects, science experiments, chess,
Tae Kwon Do, cooking & field trips. Cost is $100 per
week or $25 per day. Drop in care is an option. For

Summer Camps
The PCH+ Game Night for the month of July
will be held on Friday, July 8th, at 7:00pm.
This month’s game will be Mexican Train
Dominoes! The group meets at PCH in the
Pathfinder’s Room. Please bring a snack to
share and invite a friend! Childcare is
provided for these events.
PCH+ Game Night
The monthly senior ministry lunch will be held on
Wednesday, July 20th, at BD’sMongolian Grill. If you’ve
never been to BD’s you are in for a treat! BD's unique fun
comes from your ability to create your own "feast" from a
variety of meats and seafood, fresh veggies & flavor-
packed sauces and herbs. Join in on the fun by signing up
on the PCH+ board next to the kitchen. For additional
information or assistance with transportation to these
events, please contact Diana Sprague or Linda Hudson.
