Haji Mohammad NazriBin Haji Mohammad Yusof

Introduction

Haji Mohammad Nazri Haji Mohammad Yusof was appointed as Permanent

Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Brunei

Darussalam on 15th December 2018. His previous designation was as

Acting Director of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport and

Infocommunications from 1 January 2015. Since entering Government service

as an Engineer in 1993, Mohammad Nazri has served in the Ministry of

Development in various capacities.

Background and ProfessionalAffiliations

Mohammad Nazri is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Engineering graduate

from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology

(UMIST), United Kingdom; and holds a Master in Public Administration

from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore

(NUS). He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, United

Kingdom and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Surveyors, Engineers

and Architects (PUJA) Brunei. He is also a Professional Engineer registered with

the Board of Architects, Professional Engineers and Quantity Surveyors of

Brunei Darussalam.

Introduction

Dr Hisham is a Director in Deloitte Consulting overseeing the Healthcare sector

in South-East Asia. He focuses on the Future of Healthcare including Smart

Health and Hospitals, Data Analytics, Healthcare Workforce of the Future and

Health Systems Strengthening. His clients include government and public

sector healthcare providers, private healthcare providers and international

healthcare organisations/donors. Hisham also helps coordinate the Deloitte

services for Brunei.

Relevant Experience

Hisham has over 20 years experience in senior-level policy making and project

management in the public and healthcare sector. He previously worked for the

Ministry of Health Singapore and Ministry of Health Brunei, and was involved

with international platforms such as World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF

and Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Background and Interests/Professional Affiliations

Hisham graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Nottingham, UK,

and did his Masters of Public Health at Emory University, USA, as a Fulbright

Scholar. He is an ex-emergency physician turned public health specialist,

Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore and adjunct Assistant Professor

in Public Health at Penn State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Wida Susanty Binti Haji Suhaili

As the assistant professor at the School of Computing and Informatics at the

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Dr. Wida Susanty Haji Suhaili has focused on

SMART Initiative projects upon obtaining her PhD. She is the project coordinator

for the school where she foresees all the student projects within the School. She

is the thrust lead for Digital and Creativity research thrust in the University. She

is also the ASEAN S&T Fellowship 2019/2020, where her focus is on the use of

Science Technology and Innovation on the irrigation for the improvement of

paddy plantation in Brunei. She is also active as a speaker presenting in

conferences, forums and symposiums both locally and regionally. Her most

recent award is achieving 1st Prize under BEST NGO’s Leading Practices (2-3

October 2019) in the 8th Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers, Kingdom

of Saudi Arabia Award for Environmental Management in the Islamic World.

Project title: Mitigating Floods and Fire Hazards in Forestry using IoT System in

Brunei Darussalam.

Academic Background

Dr. Wida received both her B.Sc. in Computer Science (2003) and M.Sc. (2004)

with Honours from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (UK), and Ph.D. in

Education Technology from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom

(2015).

Muhammad Anshari is Assistant Professor at School of Business & Economics

Sairul Rhymin C.A. Mohamed

Sairul Rhymin is the founder and CEO of Rhymin & Partners Sdn Bhd, Brunei

Darussalam. He has over 28 years of experience in both the private and public

sector holding senior positions in Telecommunications, People Development, IT

and eGovernment. The smart application QueUp originated from Rhymin &

Partners’ submission to the 2016 Anugerah Cemerlang Perkhidmatan

Awam (Excellence in Public Service Awards) – where they submitted a

proposal for an intelligent queue management system project – which took

home the silver award, the highest in the ‘proposal’ category that year

Past Experience includes initiating key strategic transformational changes for

TelBru, Corporatisation of Jabatan Telekom Brunei, Thinktank for

eGovernment, launched the eGovernment Strategic Plan 2008 including
