Dear Guest,

On behalf of myself & all the staff, I would like to welcome you to the Lakeview Hotel Motel. We hope that your time with us is enjoyable!

With this in mind, we have compiled this directory. The directory details the facilities and services offered here at the hotel along with local information. However, if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact reception or the manager on duty.

• Check in is 2pm. We are unable to guarantee an earlier check in, but please enquire at reception as there may be availability.

• Please note check out is 10am on the day of your departure however if you wish to arrange a late check out please notify reception.

• Late check out fees apply.

Credit card details are required by us, regardless of payment method. A $200 bond is also required, whether it be a cash deposit or a pre-authorization on a credit card. The bond if paid by cash, will be re-imbursed once the room has been cleared and checked out, providing no damages have been caused.

We do not offer Credit we do however accept Eftpos, major credit cards and cash as room payment.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. We reserve the right to charge the daily room rate, should guests fail to cancel their reservation within 24 hours of check in.

Smoking is Prohibited Inside All of Our RoomsAshtrays are located outside of your room. Please respect other guests when smoking outside of your room. Failure to comply will incur a cleaning fee of $200.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Conditions of Bailment

1. This establishment shall not be liable to any guest or invitee of a guest for any loss, damage or destruction to any personal property brought onto these premises by the said guest or invitee unless such loss, damage or destruction was the deliberate or negligent act of the proprietor or licensee of these premises, or its authorized agents and employees or the property had been deposited in their safe custody.

2. Without limiting the forgoing, personal property shall include money, jewellery and other personal effects, and motor vehicles parked on the premises.

3. When a guest registers at the reception or an invitee of a guest proceeds beyond that point, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the bound of these conditions.

Rules of the House

1. Guests and Invitees of guests are expected to behave in a manner which is conducive to the safety, comfort and convenience of other guests.

2. A breach of any House Rule may result in the summary eviction of the offender at the discretion of the manager.

3. A breach of House Rules includes:a. Noisy, offensive and/or unruly behavior.b. Damage to or destruction of property.c. Improper or unseemly conduct or any act or omission which in the opinion of the

manager, adversely effects or brings discredit upon the manager, owner or other guests.

Hotel Services Gaming Room Located at the heart of the hotel is our modern gaming facility offering a wide range of the latest gaming machines in a comfortable environment.

Keno Keno facilities are also available in the public bar & there is a self-service terminal in the gaming room.

TAB Try your luck on the horses at our TAB facilities located in the public bar.

Retail Liquor As a member of Liquor Stax retail chain, we offer a wide range of beer, wine and spirits. Our prices are very competitive and our knowledgeable staff will be able to help you with your requirements. Please see our specials instore weekly. Open until 10pm most nights.

Main Bar The Main Bar offers a friendly environment to meet friends or get to know some of our local characters.

Join us for Happy Hour Monday to Friday 4-6pm & on Saturday & Sunday 4-5pm.

Lounge Bar Our Lounge Bar provides relaxed surroundings in which to enjoy a quiet drink with friends. Listen to some music and have a game of Keno or just sit & relax and have a read in front of our open fireplace.

Wal’s Kitchen Hotel Bistro The bistro operates: Lunch 12-2pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Dinner 5.30-8pm from Tuesday to Saturday.

Please order at the bistro counter. No room service available. Please see the menu in the back of this compendium.

Functions The Casablanca Room is available for private functions. We cater to all types of functions. The room can cater for 150pax for a stand up function or 80pax for a sit down dinner. (For more information please see the manager or our website).

ATM Facilities are located in the lounge bar of the hotel.

Accounts Bar & Restaurant accounts can be set up – but a valid credit card must be provided for payment upon checkout. Please see a duty manager.

Airport The Illawarra Regional Airport is located approximately 6km from the hotel. You should allow 20 minutes during peak traffic periods. Jetgo runs service to Brisbane & Melbourne from this airport.

Air-Conditioning

All rooms are fitted with a heating

and cooling system with individual

thermostat controls for your comfort.

Please allow 20 minutes between

adjustments for a change in temperature.

Please turn off the unit upon departure

or if you leave the room.

Baby Cots & Trundle Beds

Additional bedding can be provided on

request depending on availability at a rate

of $15 per night.

Check Out Our check out time is 10am. If you wish

to extend your stay then payment may

be required. Please advise reception prior

to 11am on the extendable day.

PLEASE LEAVE YOUR KEY IN THE ROOM & LOCK THE DOOR ON YOUR DEPARTURE

Credit We do not offer credit in any way

however we do accept all major credit

cards.

Housekeeping

Room Servicing is available daily. If you

have the “do not disturb” sign on your

door your room will not be serviced. If

any personal items are left on your bed,

your bed will not be remade. Please let

reception know if you require any fresh

linen or any additional amenities.

Keys

Please leave your key locked in your

room at checkout. Any lost keys will

incur a $100 charge as the lock will need

to be changed.

Laundry

Laundry service is available daily at $10

per load and payable in advance. You can

collect a bag from reception for next day

delivery to your room.

Maintenance

If you find anything in your room that

is not in working order please contact

reception or a member of staff.

Medical Services

The closest Medical Centre is located

700m from the hotel at 2-6 College

Road, Oak Flats or alternately

Shellharbour Hospital is located 1.8km

away on Captain Cook Dr Barrack

Heights.

Pets With the exception of Guide Dogs, we

regret that due to health regulations, pets

are not permitted in rooms.

Photocopying & Faxing

Is available at reception. Printing &

scanning charges 20c per page.

Faxing charges $1 for the 1st page & 50c

for each page after (does not include

international).

GUEST & HOTEL SERVICES

Noise We ask that you respect the needs of others by refraining from loud discussions, playing loud music or allowing entry doors to slam. We ask that this courtesy is shown to all guests staying in the motel. Failure to comply will result in all guest being removed & no refunds. The Lakeview Hotel Motel has a very strict No Party Policy.

Security

Is extremely important to all of us, please

ensure that your door is locked if you

leave your room. Management accepts

no responsibility for any loss. Valuables

may be stored at reception on request.

Are available through Wollongong Radio

Cabs 4254 2111.

Courtesy Bus

Is a free service that runs from Thursday

to Saturday from 4pm. Please contact

reception. We operate within a 5k radius.

GUEST & HOTEL SERVICES

Safety Procedure Emergency Fire/Evacuation Guestrooms are fitted with smoke detectors. Fire hose reels and fire extinguishers are also strategically located throughout the hotel & on the outside of the building.

Check the exits/fire escape plan: Coping with a hotel fire begins right after check-in. When you get to your room, take a few moments to investigate possible escape route.

Note the location of fire extinguishers and fire hoses.

Be sure you know how to use them. You may have to activate them in the dark or dense smoke.

If you discover a fire in your room, immediately report it to Reception/Manager on duty.

Only try to put the fire out if you’re sure you can handle it. If you are at all in doubt, leave your room and close the door and proceed to the evacuation point in the South East corner of the car park.
