Guest experience18:00 – 18:30 Guest arrival for drinks reception at German Gymnasium approx 350 people

18:30 – 18:35 Kevin McCloud welcomes guests and invites to them make their way to from the

Gymnasium to King’s Cross Station.

18:35 – 18:50 Guests transfer to King’s Cross Station.

Upon arrival guests will be ushered into the middle of the Concourse which will be

dimly lit and a soundscape will play in the background.

A small stage will be located in front of the plume.

18:50 – 18:53 Upon cue, the media launch will start with the dramatic opening.

The new station concourse will be brought to life with a highly theatrical ‘Son et

Lumiere’ lasting approx. 2–3 mins. It will comprise of a soundtrack, ceiling lighting

and highlighting of architectural features.

Guest experience18:53 – 19:08 Kevin McCloud takes to the stage. After a short introduction he invites the

speakers to stage:

-The Rt Hon Justine Greening MP, Secretary of State for Transport

- David Higgins, Chief Executive of Network Rail

- David Partridge, Chief Executive of Argent Group

- Boris Johnson, Mayor of London

19:08 – 20:00 Food and drink is served for a set period (tbc).

20:00 Carriages and post event pack handed distributed.
