YoungArts Blog Guest Blogger Guidelines & Suggestions Post Length Typically, posts can be of any length as long as they convey a clear message. We recommend a minimum of 200 words, and ask that you keep in mind that posts that are too long can be daunting for readers. We suggest that your blog post stay within a 500 word limit. Editing We regularly edit posts submitted to YoungArts by our contributors and guest bloggers. We’re not going to rewrite your article, but may make grammatical changes, minor edits, title changes, photo changes for example. If a post misses the mark completely or if it needs improvement, we will let you know our thoughts, and ask you for edits. Tone As we continue to develop the YoungArts blog, we want it to become a hub for artists and art enthusiasts. We’re thankful to you for helping us build this community, and suggest that you approach the blog post with optimism and enthusiasm for your topic, as well as respect for the YoungArts and NFAA organization. Subject Matter In order to create the online arts hub, we’re aiming to create posts that comment on trends, present new ideas, expose new art forms and build other artists’ creativity. Please consider, as you are writing your post, if you are sharing just your experience, or if you are sharing how your experience ties into the greater community and teaches others. Byline / Signature We want to help promote you as the author of your article and an expert in your field, and as such, provide an opportunity to include a byline/signature on your posts. We want to thank you for your interest in getting involved with YoungArts, and hope that by sharing your work with us, we can in turn help promote you right back. Notifications We will alert you when your post will be published. In addition to youngarts.org, your post will be cross posted on our Facebook page and other pages as appropriate.
