The way in which the characters look and the whole basis of the film it had a Retro feel to the film, for example with the clothes that they wore and the music which was played within the Film. For example the way that Chris Pratt wore a leather Jacket which was a big fashion item within the 70s, also within the film with regards to music there was quite a few David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Suede songs that were played in the film which gave the film that retro film. Also the whole basis and style of the film is similar to the Star wars film as the film itself has a similar plot and the setting and the theme of the Star Wars film franchise in the 70s. For example when there is a battle in space and Peter Quill escapes the Pod and saves Gamora, the setting of the film is similar to the Space battle sequences within the film. One other way in which the film is similar to star wars is the use of the technology which almost looks retro this is Similar to the trilogy series of Star wars. I think that this film being similar to star wars would be beneficial for producers as the Star wars Franchise is one of the most successful films of all time and this would mean that the film would attract a wide range of audiences from that Film franchise. This would make the film a lot more popular and it would increase the amount of viewers that go to see the film, this means that the film will get more money and become increasingly popular to many other audiences.
