The Execu tive MBA d egree pro gram is a specifical ly design ed
system of comprehensive and systematic courses intended
for top-level executives. In 1999, the Guanghua School of
Management became the first mainland Chinese business
school to offer the EMBA program. In 2011, combining the
characteristics of a new generation of students and the
demands of modern times, Guanghua's EMBA launched
a full-scale reform. Curriculum in the program is divdied
into core coursework, s tress ing foundational theory
and application, and professional courses, focusing on
specialization and cutting-edge research and emphasizing
interactive learning modules and group simulations. A
rich set of liberal arts courses are also embedded into the
curriculum, essential to cultivating students with a robust
global perspective.
Guanghua's EMBA program is characterized by a unique,
comprehensive, training-based curriculum, and its courses are
deisgned to enable students to learn the rules of organizational
development through the study of advanced theories, to
understand the strategies of enterprise management through
the examination of both classical and modern best practices,
and to draw knowledge for professional and organizational
development from Eastern and Western cultures.

Guanghua Case Competition
The G uanghua School of M anagemen t or ganizes
the largest scale inter-university business case
competition annually. The competition enlists
management students from Chinas most elite
universities to participate, heeding the Guanghuas
mission of advancing management knowledge
and developing business leaders for China and the
society. Each year, the case competitio n aims to
provide high-achieving undergraduate students with
a platform to exercise their business case analytical
skills, simultaneously engaging in them a powerful
sense of social responsibility.
Teams are divided into a financial analysis task group
and an enterprise management task group, who
work simultaneously throughout each stage of the
competition. Each team seeks to utilize a successful
application of finance and management knowledge,
teamwork, and analytical abilities in order to
demonstrate the overall quality of t heir performance.
Upon positive evaluation of competition results,
the Guanghua School of Management wil l
offer opportunities for top performers to obtain
conditional offers of acceptance for the schools
Master of Finance program and summer courses,
or grant interviews for admission into the schools
prestigious MBA program.
Campus Life
Student-led organizations have long been at the crux of student life at the Guanghua School of Management.
The school prides itself on providing ample opportunities to drive student potential for growth and development.
Support from Guanghuas Student Affairs Office has enabled a number of diverse activities that not only enrich
life on campus, but also help students exercise their organizational and professional leadership capabilities.
PKU Accounting Club
The PKU Account ing Club (PAC) wa s e stabli shed
by students in the accounting department at the
Guanghua School of Management in 1996. The
club is organized into committees covering various
responsibilities, including internal relations, external
relations, academics, and programs. The committees
are entirely student-led and work cooperatively to
organize various events on behalf of the organization.
Within the past 17 years, the club has established
partnerships with the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA), the four major
international accounting firms, the Hong Kong
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Chinese
Accounting Association, and the China Accounting
Report. The club has successfully held numerous
events that have garnered praise from the school,
including seven annual Accounting Culture Festivals,
three recruitment fairs, and an ACCA Career Day,
among others. In addition, with support and
contributions from the Guanghua student body
and faculty, the club has published their first self-
edited publication, combining resources from other
collegiate accounting associations at top Chinese
universities to effectively help students understand
new trends in the accounting industry.
The PAC follows the philosophy that Accounting is a
culture, a language. The club upholds this belief by organizing
various activities and exchanges, engaging academic leaders
from major universities and industry elites, and providing a
platform for students interested in the accounting profession to
exchange ideas and experiences.
Yunling Initiative
The Yun lin g Ini tia tiv e, est abl ishe d in Oct ober 2004 by
Guanghuas graduating class of 2003, is one of the first large-
scale community service projects to be launched by an elite
business school in China. The aim of the project is not to solicit
donations, but to use existing knowledge and resources to
help others. Each summer, the Guanghua Youth Volunteers
Association commissions a group of passionate, committed
Peking University undergraduates to embark on service projects
in economically disadvantaged high schools in Guizhou
province. Guanghua students work with high school students
at five high schools in different regions of the province, holding
various skills-building tutorials in addition to one-on-one
mentorship sessions. On top of providing students with an
opportunity to engage in high-level academic exchange, the
project also aims to provide scholarships based on financial
need to students at partnering high schools. Since 2004, over
180 Guanghua volunteers have partaken in the initiative, and
300 need-based scholarships have been awarde
sum of over 200,000 RMB. Since its inception, the
collectively impacted over 30,000 people.
