EVENT AT A GLANCE
The UAE Ministry of Economy is glad to be a patron of Global Trade Development Week 2015,and we look forward to welcoming international trade, investment and economic development leaders, to the UAE this October, for this mega global trade event and the concurrent exhibition. The theme for GTDW2015 is ‘Innovation in Global Trade and Economic Development’. This is highly significant to the UAE, as in 2015 we will be taking forward our National Innovation strategy. We encourage global trade leaders to be guided by the principles of innovation as an engine for growth in trade and economic development. A global trading system focused on innovative policies and institutions will help us find new ways to conduct business together across the world, in a sustainable form, to the benefit of all nations.
GTDW 2015 will be a series of specialized trade summits that links innovative and influential leaders
across key verticals in international trade; this
includes business, banking, customs, corporate real estate,
development banks, FDI, infrastructure, insurance, investment,
risk, specialized economic zones, supply chain, logistics and transport.
GTDW creates bilateral, regional and multilateral dialogue, as well as increasing the knowledge and capabilities that allow government and private sector leaders to deliver growth in international trade. We look forward to welcoming you to GTDW, a major international forum committed to increasing knowledge and dialogue between government and private sector trade leaders – and helping us find innovative new ways of taking the global economy to new heights.

ABOUT GTDW 2015
GLOBAL TRADE DEVELOPMENT WEEK, 26-29 OCTOBER 2015Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai, UAE
Under the Patronage of H.E. Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, UAE, GTDW 2015 will be an unprecedented gathering of 800 leaders from private and public sectors from over 90 countries who will come together to engage in dynamic dialogue on the development of global trade.
Partnered by Dubai Customs and the Dubai Economic Council, GTDW is a major international forum for business and government leaders to exchange ideas on how to tackle today’s most challenging trade and development issues.
Unified under the theme of GTDW 2015, ‘Innovation in Trade and Economic Development’, GTDW 2015 will be addressed by 150 speakers - some of the most influential and forward-thinking people driving today’s global trade agenda. GTDW consists of a Ministers & Trade Leaders Plenary, 5 concurrent major trade summits, site tours, networking receptions and a leading trade
exhibition. Attendees can select a programme that addresses their specific requirements and interests as well as opting for workshops and tours.
With an emphasis on dialogue and interaction, GTDW engages political, business, academic and industry thought leaders to share best practice in global trade development. GTDW is designed to create opportunities for bilateral, regional and multilateral dialogue between governments and the private sector.
‘Trade does not exist in isolation’ and to this end, GTDW deliberately combines influential personalities from across a wide variety of trade sectors that include business, banking, customs, corporate real estate, development banks, FDI, free trade, infrastructure, insurance, investment, supply chain, logistics and transport – sectors that GTDW grants rare opportunity to meet and interact under one roof.

GTDW 2015 HIGHLIGHTSGlobal Trade Development Week has grown to be a major international forum committed to increasing knowledge, capabilities and dialogue between government and private sector trade leaders. We here in the UAE are proud to have been part of the growth of this commendable event.” H.E. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy
With the Patronage of the UAE Ministry of Economy and partnerships of Dubai Customs and Dubai Economic Council confirmed for the second year running, GTDW 2015 is on course to be a resounding success set to achieve its main objective: bringing together today’s trade leaders for deep discussion on a topic that unites nations around the world – the development of global trade.
Under a new programme for 2015, GTDW will kick off special Ministers' Roundtable where the key issues will be debated by VIP speakers specially invited by the Ministry of Economy. The evening will include a chance for informal networking with delegates at the Welcome Reception hosted by the UAE Ministry of Economy in the luxurious surroundings one of Dubai's top venue's The Ritz Carlton DIFC.
Day two of GTDW starts with the plenary session featuring the event's keynote speakers and cast of leading names attending GTDW who will speak on the spectrum of international trade development issues of the day.
The five GTDW summits will be addressed by over 150 speakers; a stellar cast of the most dynamic people driving and shaping today’s global trade agenda. The summits set-up allows participants from across specialized trade sectors to select a programme that matches their interests and requirements.
