    I. General Series Information

    1. The 2 011 GT2 World Series ( GT2WS) series i s de fined as a ser ies r unning six ev ents i n the

    Live f or Speed simulation software u sing one t rack f rom each environment and restricted

    GTR class car s.

    2.Each round will be three d ays l ong. D ay 1 is Su nday f or pre-qualification. Q ualification willtake place on Friday, Day 2 . R ace will take place on Saturday, Day 3 .

    II. GTAL Car Restrictions

    1.The se ries runs with GT2-class restrictions. These a re:

    a) FZ50 GTR (FZR) shall carry 2 1 percent of intake restriction

    b)FXO GTR (FXR) shall carry 2 4 percent of intake restriction

    c) XR GTR (XRR) shall carry 2 5 percent of intake restriction.

    2.Failure to carry th e req uired intake restriction will result in exclusion from that s ession.III. Entry Procedure

    1.A maximum of 29 car s may s tart each r ace.

    2.A team may ent er more t han one b ut not more t han two car s in the s eries. A second team

    car will only b e allowed should there b e space a vailable after al l unique t eams ha ve entered

    a car

    3. All applications w ill be reviewed by r ace administration before being accep ted or refused.

    a)Accepted teams may s elect a n umber from 02 to 99 inclusive. C ar 01 is reserved for thedefending championship team.

    4.Team lineups and information must be sen t in the r equired format, or will be i gnored. A ny

    application update may be ignored if incorrectly f ormatted.

    a)No d river may be on more t han o ne t eam roster at any t ime. A team entering two car s

    will be allowed to share drivers b etween each car f reely, provided a d river only r aces f or

    one team each round.

    b)A driver may on ly s witch t eams twice du ring a s eason. A driver may m ove f rom theiroriginal team, to a seco nd team, then only b ack t o the o ther team. A driver may f reely

    move b etween two inter-team cars if teams are al lowed to have a 2 nd car. Further

    exceptions may be m ade i n the even t of team breakups or mergers.

    IV. Skins and Name Format

    1. The ad ministration will provide co mpulsory el ements t o be w orn on the car liveries f or all

    teams. Fai lure to run these in qualifying will result in a 2 -point penalty i n any o fficial sessi on.

    Every t hird offence will see a D T penalty i ssued.

    2. A team must have either the t eam name, a cl ear truncated version, or an official team tag inthe n umber plate. Bl ank n umberplates ar e al so accept ed. N umber plates w ithout any o f

    these p receding options are n ot permitted. Teams with two entries m ust include a n umber

    marking the d ifference b etween the f irst car and second car.

    a)Failure t o format a d river name o r number plate as p er the N DR Sporting Code o r as l isted

    above will result in a 2 -point penalty i n any o fficial sessi on. Ev ery th ird offence will see a

    DT penalty i ssued.

    V. Confirmations Procedure1. All teams ar e r equired to confirm their attendance f or a r ound by p osting in the a ppropriate

    thread prior to 23:59 UTC on the W ednesday b efore t he r ace.

    a)A proper confirmation must include t he t eam name, number, car and at least two drivers.

    Failure to confirm with at l east this b y the deadline will result in a 10-place grid penalty.

    b)If any t eam fails t o confirm by 2 3:59 UTC on the Th ursday b efore t he r ound, the n ext team

    that w as e liminated after pre-qualification will be permitted to qualify fo rthe race. T his

    called up team will then have p rioority t o that race.c)Teams ar e p ermitted to confirm no more t han 4 drivers f or a r ace. Fo r races s ix h ours

    long, the m aximum primary d river limit is r aised to 6.

    d)A team may ch ange t heir confirmation after the d eadline b ut before t he r ace without

    penalty, but must notify t he a dministration. A driver added to the co nfirmation after the

    start of the r ace w ill be g iven a st op-go penalty i f they r ace.

    e)Should a t eam withdraw from the r ound before t he r ace s t arts, their slot will be

    surrendered to the n ext team from the p re-qualification result. A team may r e-enter therace, and still have priority as l ong as t he reentry is b efore the T hursday 23:59 UTC

    deadline. After this p oint, the t eam may o nly r e-enter if there i s space a vailable.

    1.The t eams who pre-qualify i n positions 30, 31, and 32 should be o n Active S tandby

    for the race. Th at i s, these tea ms sh ould be filly p repared to be called in to fill in for a

    team who withdraws from the race.

    f) No team will be ca lled in to race if there a re l ess t han two hours un til the r ace.

    VI. Pre-Qualification Proced ure

    1.If more than 29 teams ar e eligible for a r ound, that round will have a p re-qualificationsession, starting at 18:00 UTC on the S unday p rior to the r ace a nd ending at 18:00 UTC on

    the Tu esday prior to the race.

    2.All teams outside o f the t op 10 in the t eams championship must attempt pre-qualification

    to be a ble to race i n the r ound.

    a)All teams m ust attempt pre-qualification for Round 1.

    b)The d river credited with the tea m's f astest time i n pre-qualification will be l ocked into

    that team for the r emainder of the r ound.c) Drivers m ay telepit and rejoin freely d uring the pre-qualification sessi on. D rafting is

    permitted, bumpdrafting is n ot permitted.

    3.A team may use a ny o f the drivers o n their roster d uring prequalification. All laps t hat d river

    does w ill be r egistered to that team. Sh ould a d river be sha red between two cars from one

    team, that team must specify w hich car that driver will be d riving for.

    VII. Qualifying Procedure

    1.Each round will have q ualification on the Friday p rior to the r ace, held in knockout styleformat.

    a) Qualifying Session 1 (Q1) will be 2 0 minutes i n duration, starting at 19:00 UTC. A fter

    this s ession, teams i n positions 20 through 29 will be e liminated . All other drivers w ill

    advance t o Qualifying Session 2.

    b)Qualifying Session 2 (Q2) will be 15 minutes i n duration, starting 5 minutes a fter the last

    car returns to pitlane a fter Qualifying Session 2. A fter this s ession, teams i n positions 11

    through 19 will be eliminated. A ll other d rivers w ill advance to Qualifying Session 3.c) Qualifying Session 3 (Q3) will be 10 minutes i n duration, starting 5 minutes a fter the last

    car returns to pitlane a fter Qualifying Session 2. Q 3 w ill set positions 1 t hrough 10.

    d)Chat will be o pen automatically b etween sessions, but will close as soon as t he n ext

    group starts.

    3.Drivers m ay telepit and rejoin freely during all qualification sessi ons. D rafting is p ermitted,

    bumpdrafting is not.

    4.The d river who is cr edited in the official qualifying results w ith the f astest lap for that team

    must drive at least one complete lap of the race, not including an out lap or an in lap.

    Failure to have the qualifying driver complete this w ill result in a o ne-lap penalty to theteam's r ace result.

    5.The t eam which wins t he pole p osition may ch oose w hether to start from the l eft or right

    side of the grid for the start.

    6. A team who misses q ualifying completely w ill start from pitlane in order of pr e-qualifying

    time . A team who attends qu alifying, but sets no time o r has t hat all times d eleted for

    whatever r eason, will start from the back of the grid in order of pre-qualifying time.

    VIII.Race P rocedures1. Drivers m ust be i n the server no later than ten (10) minutes p rior to the sch eduled start

    time.

    a) At 10 m inutes, the ad ministration will be sett ing the g rid. There i s to be n o chat during

    this p rocedure. Ea ch line of chat af ter the first is a 2 point penalty p er line to the team.

    b)The race will be started with a r olling start behind the Safety C ar. Drivers ar e to remain in

    grid order for one lap, single file, until the last turn or other point, at which time the field

    must form into double-file. Ro w-mates s hould be g enerally eve n with each other,remaining with at least 25% overlap. Ro ws should be s paced b etween 3 an d 5 car

    lengths ap art. The l eader an d all other cars af ter f orming into double f ile m ust maintain

    approximately p it lane speed (10 kph variance p ermitted) until the g reen flag is s hown, at

    which point all cars ar e f ree to o vertake.

    1.A Stop-Go Penalty w ill be g iven to the l eader if he f ails t o stay w ithin the sp eed

    tolerance.

    2.Overtaking before t he g reen flag will result in a D rive-Through Penalty.c)The race administration may w ave off a st art attempt due to bad formation, incident, or

    other issues.

    d)If a t eam times o ut during the p ace l ap, and cannot rejoin before t he saf ety car enters

    the last sector or crosses an other specified point, the pit exit will close, and the returning

    car must wait at the e nd of the p it lane b efore joining the tr ack. They will be c redited the

    missed pace lap in the tracker, as al though the timer i s r unning, the race has n ot yet

    started.

    2.A team may u se n o more t han 4 drivers i n a r ace w eek (5 for the 6 hour race), includingqualifying and race. U sing more w ithout race control permission will result in a 1 0-point

    penalty t o the t eam.

    a)Driver swaps during a r ace m ay b e m ade f reely, there i s no limit on number of driver

    changes. The e ntering driver should only j oin the se rver on the cu rrent driver's i n lap,

    and the outgoing driver must leave within one l ap of the takeover. Fai lure to leave will

    result in a k ick f or the o ffending driver. A DT p enalty m ay b e issued to the t eam for

    repeated offenses.b)Penalties i ncurred by an incoming driver will be a pplied after the p it stop and takeover is

    completed.

    c)No single d river may d rive m ore t han 75% of their team's completed race d istance. I f

    there i s ev idence that there i s n o other driver to replace th e d river exceeding the l imit,

    the t eam may b e b lack f lagged from the r ace and removed from the cou rse af ter a

    violation of the 7 5% rule i s c ommitted and non-correctable.

    d)On completion of the r ace, all cars ar e to slow below race pace, and return to pit lane. Thetop three d rivers ar e to p ark a t the f inish line f or a p odium picture.

    1.Cars m ay n ot stop on track or drive excessively sl owly w aiting for the r ace to finish.

    2.Drivers must avoid incidents on the co ol-down lap. I ncidents on the co ol-down lap

    can result in harsh penalties , with harshness b ased on seriousness o f the i ncident.

    e)Should the sco red leader of the r ace differ from the l eader of the r ace as i ndicated by LF S,

    administration will notify all teams t hat t he finish will be called by the administration, not

    LFS. In this ev ent, all racers s hould continue f ull race p ace u ntil they complete a l ap afteran administrator indicates t hat t he leader ha s t aken the chequered flag.

    3.The b lend line on pit exit is n ot to be c rossed by a ll parts o f the car. C rossing this l ine

    completely w ill result in a D T p enalty. Pi t entry i s not always enforced, but should the

    course l ayout require it, the same penalty i s av ailable.

    IX. Safety Car

    1.The S afety C ar is used by ad ministration to neutralize t he r ace in the e vent of a ca r stranded

    on track o r a m ajor incident, as w ell as t o start the race .

    2.When the message SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED appears on screen and the track indicator

    button changed to T: YELLOW, all drivers ar e to ce ase r acing for position, and gently sh ow

    down and be alert for any si tuation on track w hile proceeding around to catch the S afetyCar queue.

    a)No overtaking may occur after t he Safety C ar i s d eployed and before the start/finish line

    at a rest art, except in the following cases:

    1.If told to overtake t he S afety C ar by t he a dministration;

    2.Cars entering pit lane may overtake cars still on track a fter passing the first safety c ar

    line;

    3.Cars ex iting pit lane may be overtaken by cars st ill on the track after b efore it crossesthe seco nd safety car l ine;

    4. While i n pit lane a s c ars s low and speed up for pitting;

    5. When the saf ety car is returning to the p its i t may b e o vertaken by car s on the t rack

    once it has c rossed the first safety car line;

    6. If a car spins or otherwise can not maintain safety car speed, they m ay b e o vertaken

    and must rejoin the q ueue i n the p osition in which they recover.

    7.Illegal overtaking under Safety C ar w ill result i n a Drive-Through Penalty.b)The first and seco nd safety car l ines ar e perpendicular t o the start of the pit entry a nd

    end of the pit exit blend lines r espectively.

    c)Pit lane r emains o pen for entry a t all times d uring the race unless t he e ntry i s b locked by

    an incident. While th e S C queue is p assing the p it exit, the p it exit will close a nd all

    drivers ar e to w ait at the e nd of pit lane until the exit reopens. Exiting a cl osed pit exit

    will result in an SG penalty.

    d)Administration will wave ar ound any car s between the l eader and the Saf ety Car so theleader is t he f irst car to take the restart. C ars w aved around must overtake t he S C

    carefully, and proceed with caution to catch the end of the queue, obeying rule V III.2.a)

    above.

    3.Administration will also w ave around any l apped cars between the l eader and the l ast car on

    the l ead lap at the t ime o f safety car deployment. The S afety C ar may t ravel at a r educed

    pace to facilitate th is p rocedure.

    4.When the a dministration feels t he c ourse i s r eady f or racing again, it will indicate t hat t he

    Safety Car is coming in with a m essage st ating SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP and the t rack

    status i ndicator will change to T: RESTART. In the final sector, or other designated point,the SC will extinguish its l ights t hen acce lerate away from the f ield and head to the pits.

    a)The l eader controls pace from the t ime t he SC turns i ts l ights ou t, and may g o when he

    wishes as long as he d oes not

    1.Overtake the Safety C ar b efore it passes t he first Safety C ar Li ne

    2.Slow the f ield down after b eginning to acce lerate for the restart, or except for

    natural slowing points.

    b)The Green flag will fly w hen the leader h as st arted to acce lerate on the start/finishstraight.

    5.If the r ace finishes u nder Safety C ar, the o rder will be t aken from the o rder at the t ime o f

    safety c ar d eployment, adjusted for cars w ho spin, pit, or otherwise f all under Rule V III.2.a)

    above.

    X. Red Flags

    1.A red flag may b e u sed when the r ace d irector feels t hat conditions on course ar e u nsafe f or

    Safety C ar con ditions, if an incident involves m ore than approximately 8 0% of the field, or ifthe server experiences m ass discon nects or an inability t o reconnect.

    2.Upon issuance o f the red flag, all racers s hall continue a round the tr ack at greatly r educed

    pace and park i n a l ine a t the r ed flag line. E xcept in case s of force m ajeure ( such as ser ver

    failure or major incident blocking the circuit) the field will be under Safety C ar co ntrol

    before the red flag is d isplayed.

    a) A red flag during racing means t hat all work o n a ca r shall cease. I f you are i n the p it lane

    when the red flag is issued, you are permitted to carry o ut pit stop level service.b)Chat is ex pressly f orbidden at all times d uring red flags. Any l ines yo u say a fter the f irst

    will incur a t wo-point penalty t o the t eam. Any ch at during grid setting is i ncluded in

    this c alculation.

    3.If the red flag occurs w ithin the first fifteen (15) minutes o f the race, the race will be

    completely r estarted over the o riginal distance. A fter the f irst fifteen minutes, the ti ming

    and scoring system will not stop during a r ed flag for an incident, and the ti me lost will notbe added to the end of the race. Exce ption to this i s i n the event of server failure, with

    procedure d efined in Section XIV below.

    4. Heavily d amaged cars m ay b e g iven assistance t o return to the p its f or service. Th ese car s

    will be ch arged with a o ne l ap penalty f or repairing under red flag with assistance. C ars t hat

    can continue u nder their own power without assistance m ust wait until the r ace r eturns to

    Safety C ar s tatus.

    a)Any car who enters p it lane a nd carries o ut service d uring the r ed flag without gettingoutside assistance will receive a SG penalty after the restart.

    5.Cars that would be w aved around under the SC will be r eleased t o g o around the t rack a

    planned time b efore t he saf ety car resumes.

    XI. Protests

    1.Protests m ust be sub mitted within the f ollowing windows: Within 3 h ours of completion of

    the pre-qualifying or qualifying session; Within 36 hours o f completion of the race session.

    2. Protests r eceived during the race may be deferred to post-race for judgment, if time in-racedoes n ot allow full review, or further information required.

    3.Protests must be s ubmitted from teams involved in the i ncident. Teams submitting

    protests not involving their car, or that stand to benefit and are d eemed to submit protests

    of other incidents so lely f or that r eason are su bject t o penalties.

    4. For a d escription and list of all penalties t hat m ay be assigned, please see the NDR Sporting

    Code.

    XII. Official C lassification1. All teams w hich start a G T2WS r ace will be cl assified in the r esults ba sed on laps c ompleted,

    and for cars f inishing on same lap, the ti me taken to cover those l aps. All Teams w hich start

    a r ace are e ligible f or points. Disqualified teams ar e p laced behind all other t eams an d are

    not el igible for p oints.

    2.In the official results t able, all teams r unning at t he finish will have Running placed as th e

    reason. Reasons for not finishing a re as f ollows:

    a)Accident: This team was involved in an accident and was un able t o continue t he r ace.

    b)Suspension: This team was unable t o co ntinue t he r ace d ue t o excess ive susp ension

    damage.

    c)Clutch: This t eam was un able t o continue d ue t o an overheated clutch.d)Fuel: This team was un able t o continue d ue t o running out of fuel.

    1.Note t hat a r escue car will be e mployed to push a car out of fuel back t o the p it lane.

    2. A competing car may a lso p ush a car back t o the p it lane i f it is s afe t o do so

    3.No outside ass istance m ay b e r endered by an y car to any car on the f inal lap. A car

    must complete t he f inal lap under its ow n power.

    e)Retired: This t eam did not finish with any o ther ap plicable reason.

    f) Penalty: The driver was d isqualified.3.Drivers w ho time o ut or lose con nection to the ser ver while r acing may r ejoin to resume

    their races, but must heed blue f lags and use t he tr acker to see their running position.

    a)Any d isconnect deemed suspicious will be i nvestigated.

    4.If a t eam retires w ithout permission of race control from outside of a p it garage, they will

    incur a ten (10) point penalty.

    XIII.Championship

    1.The o fficial championship of GTAL is the Team Championship. Teams earn points based ontheir finishing position in a r ace. A team must start the r ace t o earn p oints.

    2.A team which changes car selection during the season loses al l points ear ned with the

    previous car .

    3.There are bonus p oints ava ilable for qualifying on pole, and starting all races i n the seaso n

    without receiving a d isqualification. Po ints ar e a warded on the f ollowing scale ( on next

    4. Should the r ace b e e nded prior to 75% distance, half of the av ailable p oints will be aw arded.

    After 75%, full points are a warded.

    XIV.Server F ailure

    1.Should the m ain server for GT2WS exp erience a m ass disconnect, or an inability t o connect,

    the r ace w ill be susp ended.

    2.There w ill be a d ecision made as t o whether or not to abandon the r emainder of the r ace o r

    return to the o riginal server or move to a n ew server.

    a)The d ecision will be p osted in IRC, and the G T2WS forum.

    3.A failure d uring the r ace w ill see the o rder for a r estart taken from the o rder at t he l ast lap

    completed by a ll cars p rior to the se rver issues. Exce ption: In the e vent of only a n inability

    to re/connect, the o rder may b e t aken from the l ast lap completed before t he r ed flag was

    count back, the race will be declared as t hat r esult.

    4.The seco nd race will start behind the safety car as a st andard safety car r estart, with cars

    credit with the l aps completed at the b ack-count. Time g aps will be er ased .

    a)The l aps will be cr edited to the t eams in the t racker, and the su mmation of the P art 1 l aps

    plus t he result of Part 2 will be totaled to get t he results.5.There w ill be at least a 1 5-minute d elay to ensure a ll information is co rrect for grid

    formation. The ca rs w ill be l ined up in race order.

    XV.Communication

    1. For efficient communication, use o f IRC is m andatory. The ser ver information will be p osted

    for each round in the d rivers' briefing. There m ust be at minimum one ac tive t eam

    representative who is i n direct contact with the t eam in this cha nnel.

    a)Failure t o have a r epresen tative w hen needed will result in a 5 -point penalty t o the t eam.2.Race administration will also be a vailable i n a v oice ch at server during the co urse o f the

    race.

    3.Blocking of in-game m essages i s p rohibited and will result in a w arning to the team to

    unblock m essages. If the m essages r emain blocked, a D T p enalty w ill be i ssued to the t eam.

    4.Chat is p rohibited during any sessi on. I n any se ssion, the f irst line i s a w arning. Then, in

    qualifying, a t eam will lose o ne p oint per line o f chat. In the race , a D T p enalty i s i ssued.
