Peru is located in the westernregion of South America.

It is the third - largest country inSouth America, after Brazil andArgentina

Peru is an important regional hub with 30 millions people and gross up more 9% for year.

Peru was Land of the Inkas, Nazcas, Paracas, Mochicas, Waris and others cultures pre-hispanics.

• Peru is a democratic republic divided into 24 departments.

• The main spoken language is Spanish, although a significant number of Peruvians speak Quechua, Aymara and other native languages.

• They are important cities and places: Lima (Capital), Arequipa, Trujillo, Cusco, Piura, Macchupicchu, Lord of Sipan, Caral, Manu’s Reserve, Iquitos, Amazon River, Nazca, Ayacucho, Tarapoto and other places.

Perú: Hub in the South American Pacific

• Peru’s central location on the western coast of South America turns it into a potential regional production and trade hub.

• Lima, Peru’s capital, is the largest city in the region, with eight million inhabitants. The adjacent port of Callao is the most dynamic on the South American Pacific Coast, and is currently being expanded.

• Moreover, the South American Regional Infrastructure Integration Initiative (IIRSA) will consolidate Peru as an efficient link between South American, Asian and United States markets. Already Peru excells as a destination for investments and an efficient exporter to the World.

Which features deserts, beautiful beaches and fertile valleys.The Peruvian coastline is formed by a long snaking desert located between the sea and the mountains.The Andes to the east and the cold Humboldt sea current that runs along the coast are what make this area so arid.

The Coast

The HighlandsA mountainous area dominated by the Andes.In the Peruvian highlands, there are two well-defined seasons: the dry season (from April to October), marked by sunny days, cold nights and the lack of rain (the ideal time for visiting); and the rainy season (November to March), when there are frequent rain showers.The area is a must for any lover of nature.

The vast Peruvian jungle, which surrounds the wide and winding Amazon river, is divided into two differentiated areas: the cloud forest which features a subtropical, balmy climate, with heavy rain showers between November and March, and sunny days from April to October; and the lowland jungle, where the dry season runs from April to October and is ideal for tourism, with sunshine and high temperatures often topping 35°C.

Rotary Club Lima Colonial

• Rotary Club Lima Colonial received its Constitution Letter in JUNE 2002.

• It is one of youngest club in the District and also it has the lowest Rotarian average age in the District.

• Their Emblematic Permanent Project is an annual Disabled Campaign during two days giving a group of 80 young disabled people, with a minimum of 15 years of age, the opportunity to interact between them in workshops of different activities such as Drawing, Acting, Recreation Plastics Arts, Dancing and Singing.

• Also our RC Lima Colonial is engaged in the design of a national campaign of awareness of the existence of a huge amount of disabled people in our community and to develop ways of help to develop national politics in favor of them.

The City Hall, it occupies the same place that the first town hall of the colony.
