Lubricator valve (LV) objectives:
• To run long toolstrings without use of rig (limited rig up height under the rig)
• LV as drop protection function for the DHSV
• Reduce cost

Main challenges:
• First TENAS job with LV and use of drop table
Results
• The operation was carried out without any HSE incidents
• Successfully perforated 313 m MD (tractor conveyed)
• Efficient rig-up and good working environment

•Estimated Cost without LV:
•Rig activity: 9 runs/6 days = 32 MNOK
•Simops/Standalone: 35 runs/20 days = 6 MNOK/16 MNOK
•Estimated Cost with LV:
•Rig activity: 32 MNOK
•Simops/Standalone: 9 runs/9 days = 3 MNOK (simops) 8

• 11 days saved compared to conventional operation
• Use of LV reduces the WL mast height (operate the WL mast in higher
wind speed)
