MARK WARD LLB CTAMark qualified with Arthur Andersen in 1989, having previously worked in the tax departments of a small and a medium size firm. He has been lecturing on a wide variety of tax matters for some 25 years to qualified practitioners and industry specialists in the UK and overseas. His ability to quickly establish a rapport with his audience, and discuss complex matters in a practical, and understandable style has led to Mark becoming much in demand on the lecturing circuit.

Mark has the unenviable task of preparing the slideshow for the monthly Professional Tax Update, and likes to add the odd mischievous graphic to lighten the content.

This course will familiarise participants with the provisions of the current Finance Bill/Act. All the major changes in the Finance Act will be explained, in the context of the clients whose affairs will be affected. Identified planning areas and pitfalls will be covered. Other current developments in taxation as they affect practitioners and their clients may also be included, depending on the significance and relevance of the Finance Bill/Act.

This is as a result of BREXIT, the new free trade agreements with countries like Australia and the change to support systems which will emphasise the importance of good environmental policies. As ever, farming incomes will fluctuate
