WELCOME! 12.11.16 We continue our journey through scripture as Isaiah's words are music to an exiled Israel's ears. Could it be that deliverance was just around the corner? Time to put away weeping, people of God - if you only knew what goodness is coming your way! I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my whole being shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness. (Isaiah 61:10) In many ways, we are living in a world where God's promises have already come to pass. Is yours a God of freedom or of bondage? How does the distinction shape your worship, prayer, work, relationships, desires, and ambitions? How will you speak of God to those who do not yet know God? NEWtoFAITH? We are glad that you chose to worship with us this morning. We pray that you find our service spiritually fulfilling and welcoming. CHILDRENatFAITH God put the wiggles and giggles in children, don’t feel you must quiet them during worship. We rejoice and welcome having your children in worship with us. Spaces are available in the sanctuary, as well as a nursery (ask an usher for location) for your child to move as needed. Busy bags are available at the doors to the sanctuary. OFFERING Our offerings are a generous expression of our faith that go to support the ministry of Faith as well as the greater church. If you feel called to share your gifts you can do so by placing cash or check in an envelope in the offering plate, visiting our webpage, or text 574-318-3656 with the amount you would like to give. Standing up for what is right is hard to do, especially when you are in fifth grade and doing so might make you uncool. But that didn’t detour Grace Kercher from speaking up for another student when it came to his birthday. During lunch on this student’s birthday the cafeteria sang Happy Birthday to him, but most of those in the cafeteria didn’t sing to the student because he isn’t well liked. This upset Grace and she decided to do something about it. After recess she told her teacher what had happened and asked if their class could make this student birthday cards. And that is just what they did! This small act of kindness and respect for one another made a big difference for all!
