• PA’s CZM Program is funded by:– Federal Office of Ocean and Coastal
Resource Management (OCRM)– National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA)– U.S. Department of Commerce

PA has two coastal areas
• The 57-mile stretch of coastline along the Delaware Estuary
• The 63-mile Lake Erie coastline

FUNDING LIMITATIONS• $50,000 grant limit per project.
• 50% Local match requiredFunds contributed by another federal grant program may NOT be applied as local match.

State agencies, local governments, regional agencies and registered and pre-approved non-profit organizations.

Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Program (CNPP)• Through PA’s Coastal Zone
Management Program (funds from NOAA)
• Grant period – 18 months• Generally $50,000 or less –
there may be exceptions• Projects that address specific
types of NPS pollution

• Streamside buffer assessment and restoration
