Keynote Speaker Announced for the 2016NWCA Coaches Convention

2016 NWCA Collegiate CEO Leadership Academy
The NWCA is thrilled to announce that another 58 head/assistant college coaches have beenawarded full scholarships to attend the annual CEO Leadership Academy scheduled for July27 & 28, 2016 in Ft Lauderdale Florida. Since 2010, over 550 full scholarships have beenawarded to deserving college wrestling coaches (and high school coaches wishing totransition to college) so they can receive this comprehensive training. The funding comesfrom the generosity of numerous donors and sponsors who will be recognized in a subsequentemail. The NWCA Scholastic CEO Leadership Academy toRoll Out this Coming Year!
The NWCA is excited to announce that the development of our CEO Leadership Academyfor high school and middle school coaches is well under way and should be completed byJanuary 1, 2017. The primary architect is Dr Dan Gould at Michigan State University andthis curriculum is modeled after the collegiate CEO Leadership Academy. Coaches willinitially go through a 360 evaluation and then complete a series of online learning modules(i.e. recruiting, fundraising, leadership, organization, etc.). Upon completion of the pre-requisites, coaches will be invited to participate at an “in person” workshop held inconjunction with the state wrestling coaches association conference (currently, approximately25 states have scholastic coaches associations/conferences).
