• Grow Financial was looking for something different than the typical banking style ads displaying percentage rates for their products.  They wanted a way to show how they were passionately involved in giving back to their community.  Taking from their name as well as their mantra of Growing the Greater Good we developed the Grow Your Own Salsa/Growing the Greater Good campaign.  The Times worked with a local farmer in creating seed packets for the contents necessary to make salsa.  25,000 packets were distributed to their 22 Tampa Bay area locations.  We also developed a promotion around the green initiatives of local companies and Grow Financial was the main sponsor.Total Retail Spend

• Really the only hurdle involved developing a microsite where we could drive the internet traffic rather than simply leading consumers to their regular website.  They embraced the campaign and said that it was a very unique way to promote themselves and stand out from their competition.

WHY DID THEY BUY?

• Because we’re awesome! They bought because we listened to our client and came to understand that they didn’t want to do the same old thing that all of their competitors do.  They wanted to get the message out, that they believe in doing things a little different. This is good not only for their customers, but for every community where they are located.  Through the development of a creative campaign and the ability to get their message out far and wide, with the help of Centro, we were able to provide them with exactly what they wanted.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY

• Our client has been absolutely thrilled with the campaign!  It has created buzz in the community.  They gave away every last seed packet.  It has directly led to many new customers.  Thousands of people have engaged with their brand and they are already looking forward to the next campaign that we can help them develop.
