GroupManager™
GroupManager™ is a group travel management program that provides an easy way tocoordinate the sale of blocked (group) space. GroupManager assists you in the management ofthat space before, during and after its sale.
The two main components of GroupManager are the Group Control Record (GCR) and theGroup PNRs (GPNRs). In one record, the GCR stores blocked airline space. GCR’s can onlybe created and managed by an agency-designated group controller. The GPNRs store theindividual passenger’s itinerary and information.
Two Basic Steps
1. Build GCR.
2. Build GPNRs from GCR availability.
Entering and Exiting GRP Mode
A new work area called the Group (GRP) mode, must be activated (entered) to perform GroupControl Record (GCR) functions. Once entered, it remains active until exited. Only selectagency designated personnel can build and manage GCRs and are authorized to enter GRPmode.

A GCR has both mandatory and optional fields.

You can cancel or cancel/rebook one or more segments in a GCR. All goup space in GPNRsmust be cancelled prior to cancelling the segment in a GCR. GRP mode must be active.

You can increase or decrease the current block size (CUR) for one or more segments in a GCR.GRP mode must be active.

Merging Duplicate Segments
You can combine (merge) duplicate segments, which are often the result of a schedule change.

Reaccommodating Group Segments
Group Segment Reaccommodation allows the group controller to manually move non-hostblocked space from one flight to another. All associated GPNRs are updated when a groupsegment is reaccommodated in a GCR.

Displaying Group Manifests
A group manifest is a list of all passengers travelling in a specific group. GRP mode must beactive to request the manifest. You can display the list with or without numbers. A numberedlist will display in PNR mode and an unnumbered list will display in GRP mode. An enhancedmanifest, including additional flight and booking information, can be displayed by appending anN after the function identifier of G or GC in any of the formats below (e.g. GN, GN/S3 or
GCN-D).

Working with Ticket Summary Reports (TSRs)
The Ticket Report Summary (TSR) is an optional feature. It can provide either a detailed list ofpassenger ticketing activity (summary report) or a summary of ticketing totals (totals report) for aspecific group movement.
Entering Information in Ticket Summary Reports
You use fill-in-format screens to enter ticket information in the TSR when a ticket was notgenerated through Apollo®. The fill-in can be displayed in either GRP or PNR mode. Thisallows both group controllers and retail agents to enter ticket information.

Appendix – Sample Screens
All group air segments are sold from GCR availability. The display will show 1-10 lines of flightinformation with 0-9 seats available in the class blocked. Status codes (HK, GK, SC and TK)are seen after the segment is sold.
On a GPNR screen the words GROUP RECORD appear in the upper right corner of the displayand a “G” appears to the right of each group segment.
On an itinerary display ( ) or ( IA), the group record locator (GRLOC) appears to the right ofthe group segment.
