Schools & Holiday Programs Palace Cinemas offers the best prices available for educational establishments on
weekdays between 10am and 4pm during school terms. Special discount rates are
also available for childcare programs during school holidays.
Price: For school groups consisting of 20 or more, tickets are $9 per student
($12 for 3D features) and a complimentary ticket for each teacher/carer for every
8 students.
Luncheons Available at Balwyn, Dendy Brighton, Brighton Bay & Westgarth
Film luncheons offer a relaxed social outing with the chance to enjoy a current
release film along with a freshly prepared lunch. Available Monday through Friday
with films commencing mid-morning followed with a seated luncheon in one of the palatial Palace Cinema foyers. Consisting of freshly made sandwiches along with
coffee, tea and cake luncheons are a splendid way to enjoy a post-film discussion
between friends.

SESSION TIMES are given as approximate starting times:
10.00 - 10.30am
12.00 - 12.30pm
2.00 - 2.30pm
4.00 - 4.30pm
6.30 - 7.00pm (early evening)
9.00 - 9.30pm (late evening)
Important: Exact session times are only confirmed once cinema
programming for the given week is complete.
Group bookings are offered on every day of the week, subject to availability.
TICKETS
Tickets are pre-printed with your group’s name, film and function date.
These can be collected directly from the cinema.
Final payment will be charged according to your tickets sold. If you have
remaining tickets these must be returned or you will be charged for them also.
PAYMENT
Bookings can be made for an estimated number of guests initially.
Confirmation of final numbers are requested approximately one week
prior to your booking.
Final payment is required no later than 2 working days prior to your booking.
Final payment for exclusive cinema hire is required one week prior to your
booking.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit card.
No deposit is required.
Please note that ticket and catering payments are non-refundable.
PRIVATE CINEMA HIRE Cinemas can be hired exclusively for groups wanting to run presentations,
product launches or simply provide their guests the luxury of a private
screening.
Private cinema hire allows groups to conduct speeches and audio/visual
presentations within the cinema, prior to their screening. Please contact the
Group Bookings Manager to discuss your technical requirements.

All High Definition 3D films incur an additional $3.00 per person charge for the hire, care
and cleaning of 3D glasses provided for the duration of the screening.
The discounted rates listed do not apply for public holidays, film festivals or special
events. TECHNICAL *Indicates a cinema with digital facilities available for DVD screenings, PowerPoint
presentations etc. Digital projector hire is charged at an additional rate of $250.00+GST. ** Indicates the technical capabilities shown above as well as DCP.

Technical rehearsals with a projectionist are available and charged at a rate of $75.00
per hour (minimum 1 hour charge). Rehearsals are conducted outside of the opening
hours of the cinema, usually between the hours of 8.00 – 10.00am.

SELF-CATERING Palace Cinemas offer you the option to self-cater.
• A flat fee of $50 applies to groups who wish to use the foyer for a function, and choose not to take out any pre-paid catering or drinks through the cinema. The responsibility of food safety and hygiene lies solely with the group organiser.
• Due to limited refrigeration space all food must be consumed prior to the film.
• No hot food is permitted.
• No items that are available for purchase from the Palace Bar are to be sold or given away, ie. Lollies, popcorn, packet chips, ice creams,
alcohol etc.

STAFF For large groups, there is a fee of $40 for a staff member to manage your group’s
drink service. All Palace staff members are RSA qualified.
Groups offering drinks on consumption require a Palace staff member.
