What do you think about that?
Books are burned in Fahrenheit 451 because:
1. “The world got full of eyes and elbows and mouths” (Bradbury 52). Minorities become offended. Political correctness.
2. Twentieth century. Speed up your camera. Books cut shorter. Everything boils down to the snap ending. (Bradbury 52) People are too busy/lazy.
3. “People want to be happy” (Bradbury 56). Thinking opens people up to emotions. Emotions can cause discomfort/unhappiness.
