The ZM big foot is a low-cost and simplified racking sys-tem eliminating the need for below grade anchoring. The ZM Big Foot replaces costly concrete ballast with a frame mounted container that can be filled with locally sourced material ranging from sand and stones, to gravel. Emplo-ying in house rapid laser manufacturing, Zimmermann is able to offer customized solutions to meet local structural and ballast material.
No below grade anchoring. Ease of construction, reduced onsite equipment
requirements. Reduced freight costs (> 500 KWp/20 ft container). Allows for simple disassembly or decommissioning. Ballast containers are designed to suit varying materials
from stone and larger aggregates to sand and gravel.

Stainless or galvanised steel construction.
Anodized coating of aluminum module frame is penetrated from the below, not on the topside (glass to frame area).
Tightening the screw can be carried out from the upper or lower edges of the tables.

Laminated module clamps and other mounting options for all standard frameless modules.
The 80 mm long keyholes allow for easy use of the preassembled module sets and allow sufficient mounting clearance.
Key Hole
Insert – tighten – finished! The module mid clamp with tension spring keeps itself on the frame track thereby reducing the module assembly time. Modules can essentially be ”clicked in“. Available as middle and end clamp set.

Frameless Modules
Our backstop nut allows installation independent of the module’s mounting hole locations. The tightening of the screw can be carried out from the top edge or from the lower edge of the tables.

Wind Tunnel Study:
All variants of our mounting systems are subjected to wind tunnel testing. This allows the structural design to be optimized including profile dimensions, material thick-ness, frame spans and anchor depths.
Lifespan-Corrosion Resistance:
All individual parts of our designs are tested in both labo-ratory and field testing for durability and corrosion resis-tance. We regularly examine galvanization thickness and uniformity.
Material Quality and Mechanical Testing:
The materials of the ZM product lines are subjected to re-gular laboratory testing. Testing includes the mechanical testing of clamp and thread connections, deflection of all frame profiles and the chemical composition of the mate-rials.
