1. Logging In and Profile Setup Once an account is set up in your name, you will sign in with the login information provided in your activation email. Make sure to check your junk mail - as sometimes these emails get stuck there. We recommend certain internet browsers for optimal use of the MGC Web Application for Windows (Chrome, IE 11, Edge, Firefox) and Mac (Chrome and Safari latest), but other platforms and browsers are functional for our current user base. Can’t find your activation email? No problem—go to https-//gc.measure.com/forgot-password to reset your password. Your login screen will differ based on your role, but for the purpose of this Guide, we will be focused on a Drone Program Manager’s view and functionalities, as it is the most comprehensive role from a functionality and access standpoint. If your account has the Drone Program Manager role, your home screen will look like this:

In order to update your profile, hover over the icon in the top right corner and click Profile and the edit icon next to Profile Information. After updating your Profile Information, you should proceed to edit your Proficiencies, including your UAS Certification type, Number, and Completion Date. MGC also gives you the ability to upload a pdf or image copy of your certification:

All pilots within your organization should complete these steps upon receiving their account creation notification.

2. Personnel Management Under the People option in the Program menu item, you will find a screen that prompts you to add and/or manage your pilots, data analysts and other general users on the MGC platform. When you click Add User, you will be prompted to input basic information. After creating the initial user, you can go back in and edit the user to provide more robust information, including date of birth, secondary language, flight hours, and more.

For a full list of the permissions allowed for each role, please see chart in Appendix A. Multiple roles can be assigned to each user.

3. Asset Management Similar to Personnel Management, MGC allows you to add, track, and manage your sites, drones, and accessories under the Manage tab.

Sites will request the site name and type, which will trigger additional fields based on the type selection.

When adding drones, MGC will request the make and model, serial number, external ID, insurance status, FAA registration number, and the flight controller serial number on the first screen. Once these are completed, you will be moved to a second screen that encompasses equipment status, stored location, purchase date and more. For some

drone make and models, an image will auto-populate.

Accessories have a similar setup; there will be two screens which will ask you to provide different information, based on the selections made. Once you have your drones and accessories added, you can associate certain accessories with your drones to indicate if they are being utilized, stored, or assigned to a pilot or mission as a group. The ability to associate individual drones with accessories to create bundles can be done by viewing your drone or accessory list, selecting one, then choosing the option to associate that drone or accessory with others in the screen that pops up in the bottom right corner.

4. Adding Missions

All missions are listed under the Missions tab with the New Mission command in the top right corner. This will bring you to the Create Mission form where you can input applicable information for your mission, verify airspace, and assign resources and assets. Verifying airspace will automatically sync you with AirMap for review, with applicable regulations clearly spelled out in the key. A few things to note:

• Choosing an existing site is optional; in the event you do choose from an existing site, the address, latitude, and longitude information will automatically populate.

• If you do not choose from an existing site, you will need to fill in the address manually. Based on our experience, it’s a good idea to also fill out the latitude and longitude to ensure no confusion around site location later.

• Only the Name, Date, and Location are required; the remaining information and resource allocation can be completed later through the Schedule function.

5. Mission Management and Resource Allocation Once a Mission has been set -up, MGC can be utilized as a project management tool to assign pilots, equipment, data analysts, and other users that need to be involved in the mission from data capture through delivery. As a mission continues through each step, the mission status can be updated to provide stakeholders with insight into the operation. Missions can be viewed and managed either in the Missions tab or in your Schedule tab, where all the information can be found in a calendar view or GANTT chart, which can be filtered by mission status and/or date for a comprehensive view of your program and resource allocation in the past, present & future.

6. Web-Based Flight Planning Just as you can create flight plans in the Ground Control Flight App, web-based plans can also be created and attached to missions. Define a flight location, set the custom flight area, and adjust settings accordingly include overlap, resolution, speed, gimbal angle, and other advanced settings. Once saved to a mission, operators in the field can access these plans in the flight app for flight execution. Any edits made in the app will be reflected to that plan on the web.

7. Flight Logs and Manual Flight Log Entry When flying with the Measure Ground Control Flight Application, all flight logs automatically upload to the Web Application when connected to the internet. In the event you fly without internet connection, all the data will cache and load when reconnected to Wi-Fi. The detailed flight logs include a summary of the flight and a replay of the flight utilizing the telemetry data, which is mirrored in the pitch, yaw, roll, and altitude metric replay shown on the next page. Low-resolution screen grabs are also automatically uploaded into the flight log, time-stamped and georeferenced. Any incidents will also be flagged, based on your company’s settings. If there are incidents, they will be listed below the low-resolution screen grabs. In the event you do not fly with Measure Ground Control, a manual flight log can also be entered manually, through the Add Flight Log button under the Flight Log tab.

8. Data Upload After a flight is complete, a pilot can upload all the data captured by either selecting images or dragging and dropping an image, group of images, or folder into the upload feature. This is found on the home page on the Pilot Dashboard in the top right corner, or in the Mission details page. Select the Mission, upload the imagery, and this will trigger the remaining workflow around data analysis.

9. Reporting All data that Measure Ground Control tracks over time can be compiled through our reporting function. The reporting tool can produce PDF reports or CSV exports to easily filter and sort your data. You can export a number of PDF and CSV reports on your pilots, fleet, program health, and even your individual flights through the “Program Reports” screen. Each available report or export has a description and various tools for filtering based on date & pilot. Administrators and Drone Program Managers are able to pull information down on all pilots (or filter for specific pilots), but pilots will only be able to pull down flight log reports on their own activity. You can find the current list of available reports in Appendix B.
