“The creative experience of making art during the time of traumatic loss provides a tremendous opportunity for self exploration, healing and growth. Art therapy can support the individual's need to express and creatively transform the issues of grief and can help prevent some of the psychological, social and behavioral problems resulting from unresolved grief. Additionally, the values of empathy and connection are enhanced by the process of creating art together in a group format” ~ Hill
