Playing board games twice a week has shown to increase the brain speed scores of elementary students by almost a third, and many other studies indicate that experiential learning is a better way to learn than through direct teaching. Children who play develop a stronger sense of self, creativity, and general curiosity about the world around them.

Play is for all ages and does more than exercise our brains. Research confirms that regular game-play and “puzzle-doing” helps to promote the mental stimulation that keeps our memory performing at a dramatically higher level. Playing board games can teach many important social skills while fostering increased focus and concentration, as well as attention span. Time with family and friends and enjoying face to face time is important to a child’s development. We know that play is good for everyone; from preschool all the way to our older years, educators and caregivers are using play to engage the mind and spark imagination.
