GRID INTEGRATION OF GENERATION SYSTEMS
The proliferation of generation systems, especially those from renewable sources, brings new requirements regarding network integration. These new technologies must offer ancillary services such as the ability to tolerate voltage dips (LVRT - Low Voltage Ride Through) or Swells (HVRT - High Voltage Ride Through), providing or consuming reactive power during an eventual fault.

DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF POWER EQUIPMENT
In addition to conducting trials, 4fores is a specialt in the design and manufacture of power equipment like electrical test laboratories, electrical panels and mobile SETs, according to specific customer needs.
4fores’s solutions stand out by their advanced technology, automation and security, integrating interesting features like:
Real-time status control of all switchesFully remote execution controlled via web by SCADA systemSymply-readable information of machine-statusIntegration of switches to perform adjustments without stopping the generatorConnectors coupling in isolation, avoiding any humidity problemNumbered and organized connectors for quick and easy handlingCalculation of combinations previously definedGreat hole’s depth thanks to more than 10,000 combinationsHigh mobility due to the trailer type mounted platform
Recently, 4fores has successfully completed a project about design, manufacture and commercialization of an electrical test laboratory, including the latest technology and high level of automation, for a recognized multinational belonging to the wind energy sector.
GRID INTEGRATION
4fores makes available to its customers a full range of services regarding analysis and impact assessment that renewable energy generation systems have on the grid.
GRID INTEGRATION STUDIES
4fores conducts several types of grid integration studies:
Load flow analysis
Studies of short-circuits
Transient stability analysis
Analysis through simulation
Impact analysis on the renewable network
Modeling and simulation of wind farms, solar, FACTS
Model validation
Insulation coordination studies according to IEC60071, grounding, etc.
Impact analysis
Ad-hoc solutions design
Protection setting calculation
Protection coordination studies
GRID QUALITY ASSESSMENT
4fores conduct audits for evaluation of electrical performance and quality of electricity production by measurement and recording of the electrical variables needed to check:
Flicker level
Harmonic component
Frequency response
Voltage control
Active and reactive power provision
Connection / reconnection
with the aim of characterizing the service quality levels, and thereby to reduce the problems that these phenomena cause in the installation, as overheating or premature ageing of the equipment.
The QualiZer devices, which have been entirely designed by 4fores’s technical department, adapt theirselves to any type of installation and recording that our customers may require, thanks to its versatility and modularity.
¿Why 4fores?4fores born in 2010 as a spin-off of a research center, created by a group of engineers with long career in the renewable sector and extensive experience regarding integration of renewable energy into the grid.
In 4fores we work every day in order to optimize power generation systems and network integration, through continuous investment in R&D and offering a special commitment to adapt ourselves to each client needs.
Our challenge is to be a reference in our markets, not only by our contribution to a sustainable development, but also for our service quality and customer support.
Autogener
Currently we work on four main R&D lines:
Generation of hybrid distributed systems
Design and development of small wind turbine for integration into urban environments
Design and validation of GaN techno-logy for photovoltaic application
Hybrid mini-grids with batteries and synchronous backup
