Poetry Recital final – llminster Literary Festival Congratulations to our two finalists Angelina and Josie who both gave fantastic performances in the poetry recital final last week. Against competitors from 14 other schools there was a very high standard and the judges had an unenviable task in deciding on the winners. In the Key Stage 2 age category we were thrilled when Josie was awarded first prize and our congratulations go to her on her winning performance.

Safeguarding The School Crossing Patrol at the top of North Street will not be available from the afternoon of Wednesday 20th June until the afternoon of Monday 5th July. Please take care if you use this route to school.

Safeguarding 2 With the sunnier weather please can children bring hats to wear when playing outside and a reminder to put long lasting sun cream on them before they come to school.

Writing Week The children have had a very enjoyable week with their writing and have welcomed a range of visitors who have not only inspired them but also shown them a love of writing. Thank you to all who have helped and especially to Mrs Jones for arranging the week’s events.

Book Fair A reminder that the book fair will be selling after school next week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
