Green River Lakes Campground Information Location and Directions: Northwest of Pinedale via Hwy 352 (Cora Hwy), and the Green River Road, Campground

is located on the northern shore of Lower Green River Lake, most sites are timbered some with views of Square Top Mountain

Distance from Pinedale: 52 miles total, From the Pinedale District Office travel 6 miles west on US Hwy 191 then 23 miles north on Hwy 352 to the end of the pavement, the last 23 miles are on FS road 600 and 650 which is a rough dirt road to Green River Lake, Approximately 1.5 hours drive time

Elevation: 8000 feet (2450 meters) Sites and Capacity: 35 individual campsites, 2 walk in tent sites, and 3 group sites capable of

accommodating 35 to 50 people, Camp Host site is Site # 3 Reservations: Only the Group Sites are able to be reserved by calling (877) 444-6777 or by visiting the

website www.recreation.gov Fees: $12 per day for individual sites, $35 per day for each group site Season of Use: July 1st through Labor Day (weather dependent) Level of Use: High Facilities: All sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Bear proof storage lockers, vault toilets and

potable water facets* are found throughout the campground. Other campground amenities include a boat launch, stock corrals, two trailheads, and swimming beaches.

Special Attractions: The Green River Corridor is known for its wildlife viewing opportunities and is home to many species both large and small. Green River Lakes Trailhead is directly outside the campground and gives access to the Upper Green River Lake, the Bridger Wilderness, and is a popular intermediate point along the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. The Green River Lakes Lodge, now a Forest Administrative site, was formerly the G P Bar Ranch used for guests, clients, and ranch hands. Recent beetle kill in the timber is evidence of a changing landscape and ecosystem. Many trees have been removed in and around the campground for safety. Other recreational opportunities include; Fishing, Boating, Canoeing, Hiking, Horseback Riding*, Unguarded Swimming, Photography, OHV Trails*, and Mountain Bike Riding*.

*Notes: Check with the Pinedale District Office on the status of the water system, you may need to bring your own water. Lakeside Trail is not recommended for livestock. OHV use is permitted only for entering and leaving the campground. Bicycles (along with all motorized equipment) are not permitted inside the Bridger Wilderness.
