3 Fight for a publicly funded NHS free at the point of use and end the creeping privatisation of its services.

3 Make mental health a much higher priority with resources to match this status.

3 End austerity and restore the public sector to create over one million good jobs. This will be paid for with a wealth tax on the top 1%, a Robin Hood tax on the banks and the closure of tax loopholes.

3 A minimum wage of £10 an hour by 2020.

3 Return the railways to public hands to stop profits before passengers.

3 Introduce an immediate 10% cut in fares.

3 Increase investment in public transport.

3 Take serious action to ensure global temperatures do not rise further.

3 Phase out fossil fuel based energy generation and nuclear power.

3 Invest in renewable energy, flood defences and building insulation.

neil says ...I have lived in Medway all my life and now work for Lloyd’s, as a Business Architect in London.

During my lifetime we have seen big changes in Medway with the closure of the Dockyard in favour of luxury dwellings; we have seen privatisation of the railway network, driving up fairs for a poor service. We have also seen severe cuts to essential local public services, including the police, fire brigade, ambulance service, care workers and schools, highlighted by the plight of Medway Maritime Hospital.

It is now time to halt this decline. The Green Party will stop the government robbing the poor to pay the rich. We will stop them protecting tax-dodging banks and corporations. We will restore public services to public hands so they are run in the interests of the people that use them.

We just need you to allow us to protect your interests. I promise that I won’t let you down!
