Public Facilities: The Township Hall is located on Silver Lake Road close to the U.S. 23/Silver Lake Road interchange. Police and Fire services are also found in the Township boundaries at 8965 Fieldcrest. Three (3) fire stations service the Township on Whitmore Lake Road, East Grand River, and Rushton Roads. Quasi- Public Facilities: No libraries are located within the Township although the City of Brighton hosts public libraries, post offices, and other public and semi-public offices for public and residents use. Hospitals and Clinics: St. Joseph Mercy Livingston located in Howell, MI. Higher Education: Cleary University located in Howell, MI. Public Schools: Green Oak Township is serviced by three (3) school districts; Whitmore Lake, Brighton, and South Lyon. Hawkins Elementary and Scranton Middle School are located in the northwest portion of the Township with Brummer Elementary School located in the southeast portion. Parochial Schools: Private and charter schools are available to residents, but none are located within the Township except those that may be associated with local churches in the area. Recreational / Cultural Opportunities: Green Oak Township has one (1) local park (Colman Park) located on the southeast side of Silver Lake Road north of Silver Lake. The nine (9) acre park offers play structures, fields, picnic shelters, and seasonal restrooms. The Township is also home to the Huron Meadow Metro park and is available for residents use. This park includes golf, picnic areas, food service, canoe rentals, hiking, and cross country skiing. Over ninety (90%) percent of the Island Lake State Recreation Area is located within the boundaries of Green Oak Township. A variety of outdoor activities are available at Island Lake including swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, camping, and shooting sports. The park, which spans the majority of the northern portion of the Township, connects to Kensington Metropark, providing and extensive greenway corridor.

Kensington Pines Industrial Park: Eighty (80) acres in size, the Kensington Pines Industrial Park has rail access and highway access to both I-96 and U.S. 23. The site is currently zoned light industrial and has both gas and electric utilities available. Contact Green Oak Township for information regarding water and sewer availability. Trout Lake Industrial Park: This sixteen (16) acre site is zoned light industrial, research, and office and has highway access to I-96 in the Township. Gas and electric is available at the site. Water and sewer questions will have to be directed to the Township. Kensington Industrial Park: With highway access to both I-96 and US 23, the one hundred sixty acre (160) industrial zoned park has a full range of utilities including gas and electric with water and sewer available. Access is directly off of Emerson Drive in the Township and provides easy access to all transportation routes. Colonial Acres Industrial Park: Eleven (11) acres in size, the site is zoned light industrial and has highway access to I-96. The main entrance to the site is located off of 10 Mile Road and the parcel has a full range of utilities including gas, electric, water, and sewer. Green Oak Industrial Park: Thirty (30) acres in size with access to I-96 the site is currently the home of several firms. Utility availability will need to be verified with Green Oak Township. Zander Industrial Park: A forty-one (41) acre site zoned for light manufacturing, the site has access to M-36 and US 23. Direct access to the site is from Plaza Drive in the Township and the parcel has gas, electric, and water services. Other Parks: The Township is home to several other industrial areas/parks such as Pleasant Valley Partners, Inc., Lowry Technical Park, and Lemen Road Industrial Park. Information for these industrial parks and areas will need to be obtained from Green Oak Township.
