Stone Way - Before & Aer Results
Injury collisions down 33%
In 2008 Stone Way was repaved and restriped from a
four-lane street to three lanes, one lane in each direc-on, with a center turn lane. Data was collected before
and aer the project was completed. Results show:
Le turn collisions down 25%
Total collisions down 14%
Aggressive speeding (above 40 mph) down 75%
Pedestrian collisions declined 80%
Motor vehicle traffic remained the same
Bicycle traffic increased 35%
Traffic on neighborhood streets did not increase
