The LEVENOL® range is characterized by its ecological and

toxicological advantages when compared with other non-ionic

surfactants. The surfactants included in the LEVENOL® range need

no sentences of risk / safety or warning symbols on the label, even

at 100% concentration. This fact makes them highly suitable for

environmentally friendly detergents, which can thus achieve better

classification in accordance to the European Directive of

Preparations (1999/45/EC).

In addition to their

outstanding ecological profile and to

their global detergency profile, which

is comparable to regularly used non-

ionic surfactants, LEVENOL® products

show certain other benefits such as

remaining liquid even at low

temperature, being very mild to the

skin, with 100% active and highly

hydrotropic in final formulations.

Non-ionic surfactants have been used by the detergent industry for many years and for many different applications.

Among the different types of non-ionic surfactants, Kao Chemicals Europe produces a very special group named LEVENOL®.

LEVENOL® is a Glycerine Polyoxyethylene Ester. The different degrees of ethoxylation and esterification provide a wide

range of products with many different application properties.

Formulating highly concentrated HDLDs without solvents

requires strong hydrotropic non-ionic surfactants in order to keep

the final product stable. As the pictures on the left show,

LEVENOL® F-200 performs perfectly without solvents in

comparison with typical non-ionics.

These solvent-free formulations will require special

enzymes that do not need enzyme stabilizers (propylene glycol,…)

to be included in the formulation.

LEVENOL® F-200

HIGH HYDROTROPY

LEVENOL® F-200 (Glycereth-6 Cocoate) is considered the most

. versatile of the range and also the most effective LEVENOL® for the new

generation of high-concentration detergents. Optimized formulations and performance tests carried out in our R&D

laboratories, demonstrate that LEVENOL® F-200 has outstanding hydrotropic properties that allow the reduction or even

elimination of solvents (ethyl alcohol, glycols, etc.) from the final composition while at the same time improving processability.

LOW TEMPERATURE EFFICACY

SOFTENING EFFECT

LEVENOL® F-200 also has a high softening effect on fabrics compared to standard non-ionics, mainly due to its

chemical nature (ester and glycerin derivative). This property makes it suitable and recommended in “softergent”

formulations where both detergent and softener come together to minimize time, product and energy consumption.

All these combined properties make LEVENOL® F-200 a really cost-effective surfactant for sustainable concentrated

Heavy Duty Liquid Detergents.

The LEVENOL® range is characterized by its ecological and

toxicological advantages when compared with other non-ionic

surfactants. The surfactants included in the LEVENOL® range need

no sentences of risk / safety or warning symbols on the label, even

at 100% concentration. This fact makes them highly suitable for

environmentally friendly detergents, which can thus achieve better

classification in accordance to the European Directive of

Preparations (1999/45/EC).

In addition to their

outstanding ecological profile and to

their global detergency profile, which

is comparable to regularly used non-

ionic surfactants, LEVENOL® products

show certain other benefits such as

remaining liquid even at low

temperature, being very mild to the

skin, with 100% active and highly

hydrotropic in final formulations.
