The SWM Financing Program is designed primarily to assist the local government units (LGUs) and private enterprises in the development and implementation of their respective solid waste management programs and projects.
SUSTAINABLE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT FINANCING PROGRAM

2. To support the Government’s drive of ensuring the protection of the environment and public health.

Amount and Funding Source
The Environmental Development Project (EDP) is a Y 24.846 billion (about PhP 10 billion) policy-based lending facility from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) intended mainly to support viable and environmentally-sound investment projects.
