We’re Going On A Bear Hunt All of the bears had escaped from Julia's bag, so she asked us to help her find them. But where could they have got to?

We set off to find the bears. We went through the grass and mud, across the river and even fought our way through a snowstorm until we reached the cave.

It’s the right size for my

bear. Reece

This is one of our favourite stories and it is even more exciting when you have a real forest to explore as you retell the story.

Daniel and Pixie-Lou read the story for us all. Ellis found two teddy bears and said...,

That’s me and Amy.

Exploration...

We also found lots of different uses for sticks. Ellis thought that his looked like a letter y and Harper used hers like a pencil to make marks in the mud. She said...

Ella climbed onto the tallest log and told a friend...”You need to climb up. Put your foot on the grippy bit!”

We can sleep on the Giant’s bed Pixie-Lou

You can follow me now. It’s this way

A muddy puddle can look like lots of different things. Yaseen thought...

I like to snap the stick.

Keiran

It’s a swamp!

Szymon found a star and said, “Twinkle, Twinkle.’

I’m going down, down the rabbit hole

Andrew

It’s a long branch. Jayden

We had lots of other good ideas today!

Lots of us used sticks to make letters from our names.

Nature Crowns If you look really closely on the forest floor you can find all sorts of treasures. Today we tried to make crowns covered in natural jewels but it wasn’t easy. Zhe was quick to work out why and said ... He was right! The wind kept blowing

our crowns all over the place. Szymon had to run very fast to catch his.

It’s windy

We found lots of new things to look at this week. Adam collected dandelion flowers and asked for help to count them. Kym had a great new name for dandelions. He called them “Dandy flowers.”

Feather

I found a daisy! Charis

On the way to Forest School we saw a blue tractor mowing the grass.

Keerat noticed that... What was in the forest today?

It was very cold today and we were worried about the birds. Zane, Ella, Daniel and Ellis crumbled up some of their snack biscuits to feed them with.

The grass got too long and it needed

cutting.

It’s so cold today. You need to blow in your hands to warm

them up.

Amy suggested...

They might be cold.

Food will make them feel warm.

How will the birds eat biscuits – they don’t have teeth?

The green woodpecker made

the holes Charis.

Put your gloves on.

We are going to have a campfire celebration next week. Our grown-ups are coming too!

We are all very excited!

All of us are looking forward to the campfire next week, but Zane reminded us about the rules of the ‘Fire Circle’ and also explained that...

You will get hurt. It will
