SEEDS OF SUCCESS

Type A large headed hybrid cabbage variety for the fresh market. GREEN CORONET shows good adaptability for autumn, winter and spring harvesting slots.

Maturity Approximately 120-140 days from transplant to maturity in winter and approximately 90-110 days in summer. Maturity is very uniform with a high first cut percentage.

Plant Characteristics

A medium to large frame that provides excellent head protection. Has good heat and cold tolerance. A plant population of 28 000 plants per ha is recommended for single head marketing, and 35-45 000 plants per ha for bags. Plant population will influence head size. For larger head size the plant population should be reduced to suit your needs.

Head Characteristics

GREEN CORONET has a very firm flat round shaped head with a average head size (without outer frame leaves) of between 3-4 kg with an excellent flavour. An adaptable variety suited for the loose head and bagging market. GREEN CORONET has an excellent dark green colour, a high first cut percentage and good standability.

Disease Resistance GREEN CORONET has intermediate resistance to Black Rot.

Features and Benefits The excellent bolting tolerance lowers the risk associated with producing a high quality crop early in spring.
