Green Balance Cleaning – How?

A Step-by-Step Process

It’s about Cleaning Green, not just Green Cleaning

Cleaning Green is a process, not just a new

cleaning solution.

The following steps help assure the cleaning experience is not only healthful and beneficial but safe for you, your client and their family and for the environment.

1. Maintain control of the environment being cleaned. Do not allow children or pets to be present during the spraying of cleaning solutions. Keep control over your cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions at all times.

2. Maintain proper ventilation and airflow in the environment being cleaned.

3. Pre-vacuum the carpeted area to be cleaned with a vacuum with a high efficiency collection bag or filter. Fine particles can pass through standard filters. These very small particles pose the greatest potential threat. Get them out of the carpet and out of the home.

4. Always pretest the carpet to be cleaned for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area.

5. Mix your Green Balance Carpet Prespray.

For best results with extreme soiling conditions, mix one part chemical with 21 parts of hot water (6 ounces per gallon of water).

For normal soiling, mix one part chemical with 32 parts of hot water (4 ounces per gallon of water).

For use in HydroForce Injection Sprayer, mix 1 qt Green Balance and 4 qt. with water in five quart container.

6. Apply with electric, battery powered, pump-up or injection sprayer with an even, overlapping light mist across the area to be cleaned. Make sure that, while spraying, the spray tip is kept below knee level but at least 12” off the carpet.

7. For best results, allow mixed solution to dwell on carpet for 8 -10 minutes before extraction.

8. During the extraction process, use the hottest water possible that is safe for the environment and the carpet.

Testing sponsored by the EPA demonstrated the sanitizing effect of carpet cleaning when the extraction solution strikes the carpet at 130O F or above.

For Portable Extractors: For best results with extreme soiling conditions mix

1:64 (2 oz. Green Balance Rinse to 1 gallon of water).

For normal soiling mix 2 ounces of Green Balance Rinse for each 5 gallons of water.

For Truckmounts: Mix one quart of Green Balance Rinse (32 ounces)

with 5 gallons of water in stock solution container. Set flow meter between 2 and 3.

9. Rinse / Extract using Green Balance Neutralizing Rinse or Green Balance Carpet Extraction Rinse

10. Additional slow passes will maximize extraction of soil and pollutants from the carpet to the waste tank and minimize chemical, moisture, and particle residue.

11. Dispose of waste water in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Never dispose of waste water into a storm sewer (street) or into any drain which connects directly to any part of the water supply system (canals, creeks, rivers, ponds, lakes, oceans, aquifers, etc.)
