What is a myth?Our word myth is derived from the ancient Greek word muthos; meaning a spoken or written story

Myths are broken into three main types: legends, pure myths, and folktales

Types of myths:LegendsDeal with real events and people, but also has unreal elements.

Example: Homers account of the Trojan WarPure MythsRelates directly to religion and ritual practices.
