Festival Summary 21st annual Great Salt Lake Bird Festival May 16-19, 2019
67 Events (Field Trips, workshops, Keynote address, Student Art Contest, booths) were available to attendees
Transportation included vans, buses, boats, and kayaks/canoes
1180 event tickets sold
Over 1,000 persons attended the free events on Fri. and Sat. at the Eccles Wildlife Education Center, during the four days and participated in some aspect of the Festival. It rained every day.
Economic impact to area –estimated at $150,000
125 persons attended the Dutch oven dinner with Keynote speaker Rosemary Mosco
76 Field Trip leaders and speakers provided their time, talent and effort to bring a quality experience to each event participant
222 student artists/photographers were spotlighted at the Festival
13 Booths filled the exhibit hall – due to rain
20 committee members and volunteers assisted with the program planning and at the information booth
Marathon Birding trip saw 151 species
Bird species seen during the Festival – 176
