EXPECTING POWER
It’s the purposeful promise of God.
Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
It’s received by making prayer to Jesus a priority.
Acts 1:14They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
It involves yielding to Jesus, the Spirit giver.
Acts 2:4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
It’s about speaking prophetic words and becoming a powerful witness for Jesus.
Acts 19:6When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
