The Alemlube 660AN trigger action

grease gun, delivers high volume or

high pressure greasing. On the high

volume setting, the gun can deliver

1.1cc of grease per stroke at pressures

of up to 8,500psi. The one hand

operation makes convenient and light

work of your day to day greasing

applications. The “twin lock” system in

the gun head assembly ensures that

when a grease nipple is blocked, grease

can’t bypass the piston, thus eliminating

the problem of dummy lubrication. The

course thread on the barrell assembly

eliminates the chance of cross threading

during cartridge change over.

Underground commissioned Alemlube

to design automatic greasing systems

for all their surface conveyor drives and

pulleys. By ensuring that all greasing

points were automatically greased and

that labyrinths were kept topped up

several times per day it was thought that

bearing life could be greatly improved and

that maintenance resources could then

be redirected to other pressing tasks.

The progressive divider circuits are

designed to allow the systems to

continue operating even when a bearing

is blocked. The blockage is detected and

an alarm is activated in the maintenance

office. Locating the blocking bearing is

a simple procedure. As a result of these

systems, the Newlands Northern

Underground surface conveyors

operate more reliably.
