The more familiar you are with the test, the better you’ll do. The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test (CAT). That means that your performance on previous questions will determine which questions you’ll be asked next. In order to do really well on the GMAT, you need to come out kicking. How does a Computer-Adaptive Test work?
The GRE is adaptive by section, which means that your performance on the first math or verbal sections will determine the difficulty level of the second math or verbal sections yousee. In order to get the highest scores, you need to master the hardest questions. Within eachsection, the test is not adaptive. This allows you to skip difficult questions and return to them later, which is a huge advantage for well-coached test takers.
