Samsung TV/AV Specialist (Jan 2014– April 2015) – Harvey Norman, Swords Airside Retail Park, Co. Dublin Worked as part of a team that undertook in-store promotions and demonstrations to customers. Building rapport with store staff in order to maximise store performance and to see the Samsung range as the

‘go to’ products. Monitored market changes, plus past sales patterns to predict future in store targets for staff. Stocking, replenishing and cleaning demonstration areas.

Achievements and InterestsWork: Awarded Samsung Promoter of the Year award by the head of Samsung management for

meeting targets, communicating well with both staff and members of management and

insuring Samsung was the number 1 brand in the mind of the consumer through successful demonstrations.

College: Peer mentoring on behalf of access students coming from school into college by taking place in a number of taster events and to show them what college life is all about and sharing personal experiences.

Sport: Represented Ireland soccer team, was elected as captain of Bray Wanderers Football Club and have won the player of the year award as well as a number of medals.

Travel: Keen interest in foreign culture and history, and was selected to represent my school on a trip to Zambia. There we dealt with children that were disabled and living in orphanages. We also helped with teaching children, building houses and participating in cultural events.

School: Elected to be part of the student council in which we discussed possible changes that could be made and to communicate any issues to an elective from the school.

Volunteering: Keen interest in giving back to the community and helping the youth with useful tips and effective ways of getting the most of themselves. Volunteered as part of Saint Vincent De Paul Society.

Skills ProfileTeamwork: Can work independently or as part of a team. Find it easy to motivate people and to get

the best out of others in order to maximise their performance and to get the end result. This has been developed through group projects and previous work experience.

Leadership: Enjoy been in charge and insuring tasks are met by deadline. Can easily control and set assignments for members of the team as well as guiding them in the right direction.

I.T: Can deliver and modify documents through the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint as well as having an excellent understanding of how each of them work.

Communication: Effective communication skills through delivering presentations to a target audience and getting effective feedback. Able to write reports and case studies. Developed through course presentations, assignment submissions.

Interpersonal Skills: Find it easy to get on with a wide range of people, good motivator and able to support others. Also able to inspire trust, good listener and lead by example.

Problem Solving: Enjoy problem solving scenarios and have strong analytical and numerical skills in which is developed through my effective use of modules and work reports in college.
