I chose these symbols because they represent many things. The dreamcatcher represents how Aboriginal believe that wearing dreamcatcher while sleeping will attract all the bad dreams and bring in all the good dreams and the feather represents love. I chose a tipi because most Aboriginals live in it as a home. In my flag, i put an inukshuk because it represents the strength, motivation and leadership of the Aboriginals. I put the canoe and fishes together because some Aboriginal use the canoe to catch some fishes to eat. The wolf on the right represents many things. To Aboriginals, it represents learning, pathfinder, loyalty. independence, and humility. I also put the bear foot prints under the feather because it represents courage. The totem pole represents their cultures. It was legends, notable events and it illustrates stories and meanings. I chose yellow and orange for the sunset because most of the Aboriginal do their events and gather together during that day. The eagle represents spiritual protection, prayers strength, courage, wisdom, healing, and knowledge.

My packaging I chose to re-design is a tea box called Leafy Tea. My main goal is to re-design the product to a much more appealing way to catch the customer’s eyes. Having a small tea box is an advantage to us all because it is Eco friendly since a lot of paper is not being used, and it is easily recyclable. The company of this tea box did not have any background information.

To start off with the design, it consist a box with the color that corresponds to the fla-vor including a picture of the flavor to catch the costumers eyes. For this design I chose the flavour, pomegranate. I felt that pomegranate is not a command flavour so I tried to make the design appealing. Putting a picture of a pomegranate on the top of the box gives the costumers more of a grasp instead of reading to find the flavour. The box is really simple to open and close since the box is almost a cube. When the costumers open the tea box, they will find that the colours inside will correspond to the flavour other than tea bags. They will also find the same pomegranate picture from the top of the box, inside. I have decided to make the front border clear so when the costumers open the box, they will see the design around the brand name Leafy Tea. I chose to put yellow/gold borders around the name because I felt that not many tea brands would do this and I tried to make it unique, but ap-pealing at the same time. I also made the border of the circle light green because I tried to correspond it with the leafs of the pomegranate. I chose to make the outside of the tea box light yellow/white because leaving it plain white will make the tea box dull and boring. My packaging design comes with many flavours. The colours of each tea box will match with the suitable flavour including the picture for the top of the tea box and the in-side. For example; Green Tea will be in the colour green with a picture of a Green Tea, Blue-berry would be in a blue box with a picture of a blueberry, etc. This product will be easy to find for the costumers just by looking at the top of the box and colour for the best suitable flavour. If a six year old kid were to be with their parents looking for tea, the child would automatically know the flavour of the tea just by looking at the picture!. For my sketch i decided that the colours for my product would correspond to the flavour and it would be green tea. I changed the flavour to pomegranate because i thought the green tea was to common. In my sketch i decided to use plain white for the outside co-lour but i thought that the final design would be plain. In my sketch i was going to put a leaf vine, but I decided to take out the leaf vine because as i making the final product, the leaf was covering the words and it was too much in your face. I also took out the the circle bor-der because i felt that there would be too much design around the product name so instead i left in with a plain light green circle. Also in my sketch, i put the nutritional fact in the back with the barcode but in the final design the nutritional fact was too big so i decided to put the barcode on the bottom of the box. I tried to make the final product simple but appeal-ing to the costumers

When designing a school team uniform, my main goal was to create a more comfortable yet ap-pealing uniform for the St. Elizabeth track and field team. Since the uniform is designed for the track and field team, I chose to use a synthetic fabric. Using this type of fabric will allow the ath-

letes to run comfortably yet fits perfectly no matter what size. The fabric will be able to keep the ath-letes cool, dry and light no matter how much they sweat since the uniform will be built from micro fi-bers. The brand Under Armour inspired me to use this type of fabric. Although the product has many functions, I also tried to keep it fashionable. I chose to design a uniform to appeal both male and female. This design will go towards high school students from grade 9-12. I chose to make a unisex uniform which is a fitted tank top and shorts. This allows the athlete to run with a clothing that fits perfectly yet looks fashionable. Not only is this for athletes who run but this is perfect for those athletes who do high jump, long jump and hurdles. The design of the uniform was inspired by the Team Canada Olympics track and field uniform. The athletes will have a choice of two colours; red, and black, to represent St. Elizabeth school colours.

In order to make my design, i sketched my ideas out and figure which one i want to use. I was originally going to make three different uniform but i figure that none of the male athletes would want to wear a half body suit as a uniform, and i figure that none of the female athletes would wear a two piece uniform. I also figured that the school would not allow the athletes to be wearing a two piece since St. Elizabeth is a Catholic school so i decided to chose tank top and shorts and made it unisex so it would be appropriate for both gender and the school.
