I chose to design a teen spa focused on making
young teen girls more comfortable with them-
selves. The spa incor-porates spa services,

My tenants are young musicians with a strong passion for music. I se-
lected tenants that have much different interests than me. The different levels of a music score became the concep-
tual basis behind the loft space

FURNITURE DESIGN
location: OXFORD, OHIOtype: FURNITURE DESIGN
AND CONSTRUCTIONchallenge: THE CHAIR
DESIGNyear: JUNIOR SPRING
Furniture design and construction provided me
with the techniques and skills to build and under-
stand the construction of furniture. I learned how
to construct a kitchen cabinet as well as a full size chair designed by
me. I wanted my chair to be functional yet have a
detail appeal. The whole chair is constructed of the
mortise and tenon joint.
