Virtual Infrastructure Planning

– Technology-specific virtualization on each phy domain

– VI planning taking a holistic approach It considers jointly the heterogeneous network technology domains and the IT

resources comprising the PHY infrastructure, to offer a globally optimal solution

Through this joint consideration, it is ensured that sufficient resources are allocated accross all infrastructure segments

– To support the volume of service requests

– To support their specific characteristics (required QoS, or mobility for end-users)

Task 4.1: the results (2) CONTENT cross-domain virtualization

• Initial numerical results available in D4.1• Extensions made from architectural perspective

later in D2.3• Further simulations planned in T2.3 for the next

year
