are the part of B.B.A. course, B.B.A. is a special professional course

regarding business. Practical study implied by Saurashtra University in

B.B.A. under this subject, the student requires to visit one small scale

industry.

The visit is very helpful to the students because students get the

practical knowledge about the working of industry and seeing the

atmosphere of business units. With the help of industrial visit, student

develop his awareness about industrial field.

As a B.B.A. student, I had got an opportunity to visit, an industry.

2003 at Dhebar road, Near Mehta Petrol pump, Rajkot. Pioneer of this

is known it as a Front Office. Front office employee is directly contact

with the customer. This employee is also one kind of represented it

firm. This works are advance booking of room, present room booking,

PROCESS OF ROOM RESERVATION

The room reservation process is very simple to understand for 

customer. Hear various type of method is applied for room reservation.

Major two types i.e. 1) Direct method 2) indirect method

1) Direct method : -

Generally this method is use to customer. In this method

customer is directly contact with the hotel to its front office. And reserve

the room in advance or for present.

2) Indirect method :-

Today, in world, people don’t have time for go to hotel and

reservation the room, but person use today technology i.e. mobile

phone, internet. Customer reserve the room through on call and e-mail.

In the room reservation, advance pay for new customer in, some

time customer pays its payment on check out time. But the company

office or regular customer is pay on its time.

The key department of hotel is food department. If the very niceservice is providing by service department but the food is not that much

good. The customer does not prefer that restaurant.

In the food & beverage department, they have to making

cleaning everyday. They have to use best items for making food. They

have to taste quality and try to maintain quality, the main cooks having

experience and ability to make best food.

experience. Every day use best item for survive customer. They make

They are providing service to their customer. They are providing

soup to desert service. When any customer came in restaurant they

give them welcome drink. After giving welcome drink they give menu

and after selecting menu by customer. They provide customer selected

food within in 20 minutes. After it customers want anything, they

provided it to them.

ROOM SERVICE FOR FOOD

Customer calls to room service department and give order for 

food. Room service department take this order and make food-

according order and give to customer room within 20 minuets.

STORAGE

THE GRAND REGENCY is having storage department in which

they are store different raw material some of them have long period like

15 day to changes, some of them have very short period i.e. daily.

The store keeper examine store after every 15 days this stoke is

oil, sugar, tea, coffee. And other stock examines store daily bases i.e.

fresh vegetable, milk.

After examine by storekeeper, he make a list of things that will

be needed and give to purchase manager, purchase manager take

form cashier and purchase thing listed in list.

The store keeper has to visit storage department and check the

stock otherwise it is create difficulty for cooks. And mismanagement is

place. But the grand regency has proper management of food &

beverage department. It is strength of the unit.

capital is to consider it as the different between the book value of the

current assets and current liability”.

must be proper use of fixed assets.

There must be proper and appropriate provision for depreciation

of on fixed assets. The financial manager is responsible for maintaining

proper management of fixed assets. Financial manager has to take
