Grammar Police: continuing misplaced and
dangling modifiers and distinguishing
between phrases and clauses
Heroes are a necessity in our world,
braving the dangerous and standing up
for the weak. In The Hunger Games, one
of the heroes is Katniss. Volunteering to
go into the arena instead, Prim’s life is
saved by Katniss. In Robinhood, the hero
saves the day by stealing money from the
rich and giving it to the poor, who don’t
need it anyway. The hero in Frozen is
Anna, which is a memorable movie with a
great theme. To save her sister, Elsa’s
death is prevented by Anna giving up her
own life.
